CEO of Toptal here. If you like, I can ensure we review your profile and client matching history to see if there's anything we overlooked. I'm available on Slack or
[email protected]. We’ll see if we can optimize your visibility to clients needing backend/data optimization experts.
While we look into this, Opire (an open-source bounties site) has lots of short-term opportunities.
Didn’t they actually see the object on multiple radars using multiple types of detection methods? Assuming that’s true, the camera glare story seems unlikely.
So says the PR companies that the hotel industry hired to write this story.
So, if the ICIJ coordinated the last one, then who coordinated this one? It seems like Forbidden Stories is the main organizer though they also make it seem like “The Pegasus Project” is the organizer as well, which seems rather confusing.
So, PBS seems to have done a documentary on this, which was just released an hour ago:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a2BIYWHdfTEDid all of the media outlets organize together for months in advance to be able to release everything today? The content and production quality makes it seem like this release was planned months in advance.
Also, assuming they did, what’s the process all of these news organizations go through in order to plan such a release on the same exact day? The planning of the release in such a coordinated way is almost questionable itself, though it would be good to get insight into this.
This must be some sort of objective measure of society entering into a new era.
The study was done by Robert Half, a recruitment company that is extremely old school and works with mostly antiquated companies. This is simply confirmation that many of those companies are behind the curve in their culture and mindset.

Adyen:
$25b market cap, with 2019 full year net revenue being $538m, up 43% year-on-year.
https://www.adyen.com/investor-relations/news/h2-2019-financ...
Stripe:
Significantly less than Adyen, as many have reported.
----
Same business model, with Adyen having a higher operating margin.
This should be interesting to see how this plays out. Either Adyen will skyrocket in value, or Stripe will decrease in value.
For doing payroll like transfers, especially with strong compliance, there's a lot of under the hood functionality required. Payoneer has spent over a decade creating this, while TransferWise still has a long ways to go.
We at Toptal initially created TopTracker payments (we don't monetize on this product at all) to be the lowest form of payments for freelancers globally by partnering with Payoneer. Essentially, it's a fixed 2% transfer cost including FX, however TransferWise is often able to beat that.
We, and I'm sure other companies, would love to partner with TransferWise, however they've yet to create API's that allows for a product to work with their system effectively. Once they do so, this will be a game changer for doing payroll globally.
Is there a temperature range that viruses generally die off within? Assuming yes, it would seem a bit peculiar to have to test a specific virus with a specific temperature, no?
Given the fact SARS had a similar profile, this should be a reasonable assumption.
I’m not saying it’s at the same standard as being peer reviewed, though it’s more likely than not that the conclusions from this data will remain true based on both the data and the correlation.
So it’s just a coincidence that Dr. Li Wenliang, who was 34, died and he only had a 0.2% chance of dying? I find this too much of a coincidence. There is no way these numbers can be correct.
There was a mention last week that WHO would not reference SARS anymore, out of fear of widespread panic. Hence my question.
“The mortality rate of patients with 2019-nCoV infection was lower than that of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SRAS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).”
Is this a typo or are they politicizing SARS here so people think it’s something else?
Can someone provide a list of how much each item that is relevant to this technology is likely to cost?
I’d really like to know how much each laser, pellet, metal case, etc will likely cost in this and how difficult it will be to create each one.
I would have to imagine that these lasers will be the most difficult part of all of this. It will also be good to know how long each laser lasts and how much power they require to operate effectively.
Wow! That’s amazing if true. The question is was “login” entirely resent again or if the last three characters of “login” were sent.
If it’s the former, it’s unbelievable.
Can someone provide a demo link of source music vs. output?
