Do you happen to live in Saigon? If so I'd love to meet up.
If you are considering doing it in Vietnam (islands like Phu Quoc or Con Dao) then I may be able to help with logistics.
Thanks for sending out a tweet as my Twitter account without asking or telling me. I really wanted that.
Who knows what this site will do with your credentials on other sites.
I think there are still plenty of easy avenues to search for the man's (or team's) identity. It would only be appropriate to crowdfund a pool of bitcoins for a bounty on discovering Satoshi Nakamoto's identity.
I too once ran a bbs (614 area code). But the link between the bbs scene and today's Facebook is a bit tenuous, isn't it? Makes for an attractive headline though.
Each year a large number of people come to Detroit from around the world to photograph and then publish either articles or entire books on the "ruin porn" in Detroit. Some of these books sell for a pretty penny.
But a number of the subject buildings in these photos have been redeveloped over the years: http://www.dtownie.com/2011/08/10/the-mecca-of-ruin-porn
Downtown Detroit, where many of the pictures were taken, is actually much safer than the US on average. But people would rather live in a sprawling suburb.
Actually, oil traders did store millions and millions of barrels of oil in super tankers in the sea. This was after the recent collapse in oil prices, when the futures price was higher than the immediate price. Without any risk, they could hold onto oil for a year and know they could sell it at a higher price.
I haven't been invited yet, but it sounds like Startup Square, which has already shut down..
No. Tagged is a scam that, among other things, logs into your email accounts and sends mail to all your contacts saying you "tagged" them in photos, etc.
I also seriously expected this to be a "stuff white people like" filter.
Oh, don't get greedy when taking supposed insider tips about a stock :)
Worst advice: Go back to school and get your bachelors in the middle of an economic bubble.
Wait til it bursts, you can go back then when it's harder to find lucrative work.
The IRS is at least generous enough to let you make that quarter tax-free.
I believe they already have.
People are slowly realizing location-based + game mechanics is not an automatic win. A lot of people still caught up in the initial hype but for those still betting long on 4sq, I can think of 7 or so ways FourSquare-LBS will play out and only one of them is good for FourSquare:

If u cn rd ths... then you may speak Hebrew or Arabic, which are basically written without vowels.
Here's my advice for Vietnam, probably also applies to Thailand. You don't need to bother finding a place before you arrive.
1. Go to the tourist/backpacker area, find accommodations.
2. Find a reasonable hotel you can stay in for a few weeks.
3. Find a cheaper place you can stay at for a few months.
And..
0. Look on expat/travel forums instead.
Even if it was a good idea, considering the pace of technological development today do you see more benefit in one generation of practiced eugenics versus the advances in technology during that generation?
Also, which of your arguments still apply to the world's most populous country?
This is a mirror image of the situation in Vietnam, not surprisingly. Loads of families who have saved too much money and are willing to send their ill-prepared children to no-name American universities (or community colleges). Lots of stories of students adjusting to student life abroad "too well", dropping out and spending their parents' tuition money on partying. In either case, ROI can easily be measured in decades.
OTOH, I see China's education system rapidly catching up, in sciences although maybe not in liberal arts.
Hyung, are you in Vietnam? :)
As the interface is similar to Chinese character mouse input software (which is really fast), maybe the backends could be more similar..
Scroll to the bottom and you'll get links to the other cities, outside of Silicon Valley, you should start a company in. A lot of potential in the Midwest; Chicago has already been covered and I expect a spotlight on Detroit in the future - opportunities to do business with a reshaped auto industry, wealth of IT people, access to VCs and incubators, easy access to Canada, etc.
Tell your teacher if he teaches Python, students will remember him, whereas a VB.net teacher is forgettable.
