I agree, I hate the state of mac hardware, but I would have a very hard time leaving the macOS for the windows OS

Very cool, any chance faust could be used to generate LV2 plugins?
Re:App Uses Kids’ Obsession with Phones to Teach Them Coding on Saturday October 17, 2015 @11:55AM (#10404786)
I would disagree, I work with kids aged 8-14, and a new shiny phone is an object of fascination and status. They're enamored with the object itself and the interaction therewith. Of course at some point (like all new shiny) it become more about what you do with the phone, but initially that is a secondary attribute.

Also interesting, North Korea's wood burning trucks developed out of necessity due to oil sanctions :

(FYI, this crashes chrome for me) Works great in Safari, incredibly performant!
Here's another great map to explore two dimensional Geo-Ethnic dynamics, I found this one a bit easier to parse:

The title of the article is a bit grandiose; however I suspect their success is likely the net effect of many great small decisions like this.
Re:Why We Cancelled Our Kickstarter And Funded It Ourselves on Tuesday March 18, 2014 @02:50PM (#7424088)
Also, the article states that Fundizer did the PR work for a 7% cut of whatever funds where raised... Seems disingenuous to back out after Fundizer did their-work unless they paid them 7% of what they would have raised.

I'd also be curious to see how it performs with mass amounts of sprites, something like pixi's bunny demo:

Re:The DOM isn't slow on Tuesday March 19, 2013 @11:56AM (#5401641)
A simple comparison of Dom selection vs Jquery selection[1]

When selecting one DIV by id, I'm consistently getting:

DOM - 0.08ish ms

Jquery - 0.2ish ms

I do have an app where every millisecond is critical. For this app I'm using raw dom selectors. However, most of the time, the convenience of jquery selectors outweigh these performance gains.

Anyone have a good example of using --map with --join?
Re:Once again, Path steals your data without permission on Thursday January 31, 2013 @10:35PM (#5149058)
I have a very hard time believing Path is doing anything underhanded or malicious here. Link bait?

This is an excellent analysis of Ivanov's suspect games by FIDE master Valeri Lilov. His conclusion–there is little doubt Ivanov was cheating. He also details several low cost plausible methods Ivanov could have used.

agreed, our experience with Olark has been wonderful. Been using them with two different companies over the last 3 years.
