Ultimately went back to my moleskine that fits in my back pants pocket and I don't have to worry about battery life.
Perhaps the biggest reason why my experiment failed was that I found it difficult to look back at digital written notes beyond a week. There is no physical flip...
Equally important though, I didn't retain information quite as well when writing against a screen. I can't explain it. I wanted the system to work, but it didn't. Maybe I tried to write too verbose, more carefully than I would a paper page... hoping my more careful writing would be captured by OCR better. I don't know but it was different. Intended focus matters.
Less effort = more retention to me. Digital writing, at least at that time, was more effort to me it seems
I haven't used it in a decade, Im sure it has has evolved
Events like this seem to only be explained by accountability sink[0]. Naming it gives me some brief sense of sanity.
I appreciate that there is a safety concern; where's the humanity in large systems, especially as we trend towards more automation?

This distinction, from my understanding, is important for legal reasons.

Could just be my experience, but I'm considering moving back to Google for my personal email just for that.

I agree with you on this as an eventuality of risc-v. But my casual following of the space leads me to believe that a high-performance open baseline of these architectures will be available and customization/special purpose of these archs will be for purchase.
I'm hopeful some of the benefits will be contributed upstream.
As long as there is some competition in the architecture space (ARM, x86, risc-v), the more likely builders will share gains upstream to compete against rival platforms.
That's my wishful thinking at least.
What are some things that you look for in a candidate for a successful hire?
Im on an older version of android and the live photos dont have the snappiness of Apple's, but that could be a processor power issue or even stylistic choice. Particularly the length of the live photo is noticeably different.
Im not sure how Apple stores the live picture info, but having it crossplatform would be fantastic for services like these.
I believe that fraud is easier to identify and financially punish on public blockchains. Exchanges and other entities already have the ability to blacklist an address's assets and prevent them from off-ramping into fiat ms being used in future transfers. Businesses exist today to prevent payments of blacklisted assets. Compared to cash, blockchain based cryptoassets have more choice in enforcement against fraud. Also, crypto assets can be seen by all publicly on chain. It fairly easy to trace the work of cryptoasset fraudsters
This is preposterous. Each individual must evaluate their own risk tolerance.
If you're waiting on the world to decide something for you, you're playing life as a waiting game.
Please don't shame people for having a different risk tolerance than you.
There's never been more desire for this data.
> But if you ask what is electricity?, then all of the answers you'll find will just confuse you, and you'll never stop asking that question.
How do we discover that Mrs. McCave named all her sons Dave? How do we discover without a lifetime of study that electricity is not the right name?
Is it scientific method? Epistemology?
The podcast goes on to say that the UK is in a tough position because to break ties with any part of Huawei could have a chain reaction of cancellations/retaliations that could be extremely costly to UK in a time of uncertainty with Brexit and now covid-19. "Damned if they do, damned if they don't" was the general sentiment.

Thank you for clarifying. I hadn't considered that NYTimes may not show paywall for a 'new potential customer' since I am all to familiar with their paywall.
If they want to paywall access to their site but adding a dot to the domain causes it to be bypassed, then it is misconfigured in some way, regardless of cookies.
The author of that article suggests that NYTimes may have misconfigured their Apache VirtualHost.
