Re:Lobbying is corruption on Saturday October 10, 2026 @10:12AM (#50033214)
How far up the corruption chain do you want to go? Government itself is corruption.
Your site sucks with all the ads.
Re:GPT-6 Sol and Luna on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @03:20PM (#49806710)

Where i go to have good coffee, these look different because they are served in different cups and presented differently.
I prefer to see the real actual food i am about to buy on menus. I hate when i get it and it looks nothing like the menu photo. But companies like mc donalds have been deceiving people for decades with help of pro photographers and designers. In this case the sign is pretty and it is clear the items are just drawings. I think it is cool for small biz owners to be able to help themselves with AI. It would probably be better if she used real actual pics of her products with a phone and asked AI to put those inbthe sign in the same stylized way.
I see you're probably not a noticer.

Aren't all Linux distros ultimately a bunch of scripts on top of the Linux kernel? Compiled scripts, but scripts none the less. If someone made a bash compiler maybe that would help. Reminds me of when I used to compile DOS batch files to .com executables back in the day to make my work look more important lol
It's the worst ever
Re:Nvidia is the central bank of AI on Saturday September 12, 2026 @02:13PM (#49675324)
Being the central bank of anything is certainly not a compliment. I'd take it as an insult

The best C++ interop is just writing C++. Anything else is just wasting time and energy.
Re:Shopify moves back to Native from React Native on Thursday September 10, 2026 @12:09PM (#49646116)
This is what happens when you have too much cash on hand. You start wasting it and doing dumb things. Like rewriting entire apps in two different languages.
Re:Flock Wants a Closely Surveilled World with No Exit on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @10:22AM (#49627102)

Re:A/I shuts down – Stay human on Sunday September 06, 2026 @04:27PM (#49590550)

Re:RAG Is Simpler Than You Think on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @11:01AM (#49450396)
GPT-4o-mini is still very relevant. It is a very capable model and very very fast and dirt cheap. Excellent for this type of stuff
Nice, but can it outrun Tom Cruise?
Re:AI;DR or Don't be a meat proxy on Friday August 21, 2026 @10:54AM (#49389084)

Re:GPT-5.6 Sol Pricing Cut by 50% on Tuesday August 18, 2026 @09:49AM (#49345607)
When are RAM prices getting cuts tho. It is getting fucking ridiculous.
> Given the state of the technology, it should not surprise that an MIT study found that “95% of organizations are getting zero return” on their GenAI investment.7 In a survey of 318 corporate executives, 96% said that GenAI costs were higher then expected, with 71% percent saying they had little to no control over costs.8 Another survey reported that “84% of companies see 6%+ gross margin erosion due to AI infrastructure costs; 26% report margin impact of 16% or higher.” Because of those challenging results, “67% are actively planning to repatriate AI workloads; another 19% are evaluating.” That same survey found that 80% of companies miss AI forecasted costs by more than 25%, and 24% miss costs by 50% of more.9

I hope this crashes soon so i can buy more ram again.

It is growth and not simply expansion. All planets grow and are living organisms. This was common knowledge for the ancients. Carl Sagan made a similar remark once
