When Facebook was newish and introduced the ability to tag others in photos, I got shivers. I deleted Facebook that weekend purely because of that.
No doubt a shadow profile of me, perhaps several, exists in the dark webs of Meta and Alphabet with no limits on use or retention, but I'm having no part. I'm now curious where the GDPR stands on tagging people with no accounts.
I may be missing out on something. Is Photos a big thing, and if so, how?
Just not being afraid to try stuff.
Self-efficacy is a powerful thing.
(Meta edit: Both Bandura and Young in a 5 word sentence. That postgrad pedagogy course was worth it!)
What's wrong with a Diverse, Equitable, Inclusive world?
Of the podcast, not a fan. Nor of the book. But DEI, that's Startrek TOS/TNG bread and butter. What's the problem?
Funny old world.
You might get customers that lie.
But you might get customers that think they've cancelled when they haven't, from a sketchy internet connection to a workflow in their head that's different from yours.
Or they might not have realised they're on a recurring plan.
Or that small transaction means a lot more to them than it means to most customers.
If you notice a pattern or abuse of service, do raise this immediately with your provider.
Asked rhetorically. Of course information can't reply, right?
There's substantial context that this quote is often dislocated from of disempowered groups. Parties are unable to negotiate when power, power of self sovereignty or awareness of choice, rests with only one.
On the other hand, a tank with 5-8 functional roles does have the role of tank commander.
A private banker and their team become problem solvers long term also almost like a modern butler servie. Have a kid that needs picking up across the country, they'll make it happen, or solutions to college applications, holidays planned, they're there to help.
But as you say, if you know what Omega is you're probably not their customer.
Windows 2000 was really important for MS staying relevant in anything outside consumer. It really set up the next two decades.
I'd imagine this use case is quite common for self hosters. If it can't operate alongside an existing, say, nginx on this port, are there recommended alternate practices?
I'm excited at separating identity from hosting, of which self hosting identity gets us closer.
I use a dev machine that's quite archaic compared to a modern server, a 2nd gen i5 ThinkPad to be precise, that struggles to top 20ms for a request including loading a user and data object, joined tables and all, via ORM from Postgres running locally with a few hundred thousand records in said tables, before touching anything like explicitly adding caching.
Check your indexes, joins, general DB design and in-app looping. Flask's not your problem. You'll have equal or worse woes (if lower level with less hand holding) with anything else.

Level 2: Put a form and form elements in it.
Level 3: Do it with flex.
Did Telstra ever do anything?
