I read a quote of Drew's a while back that stuck with me. Just googled and found it:
"When Dropbox was getting off the ground in 2007, there were hundreds of small storage companies. It was almost a cliche, the way that many people believe mobile photo sharing is a cliche now, he says. “The important thing was, I would keep asking people if they used any one of these hundred options, and they all said no. These are my favorite problems to solve. You can’t focus on what everyone else is doing — it has to be about what’s really broken and what you can do to fix it.”"

The author doesn't trash Ultima IV, there's a section (pg 24-25) where a group of students attempt to play the game and get stuck. None of them thought to read the materials that came with the game

I believe Tillerson wanted to stay in Paris so the United States would be involved in the program and shape it's direction. I'd say that's quite a bit different than voluntarily taking on the pledges for Texas.
Maybe Abbott will surprise us though
> Here's one of many Matt Levine pieces that explained the Yahoo/Alibaba situation, although it's now dated
I hadn't been following Yahoo that closely, but was vaguely curious about the whole Alibaba angle, thanks for linking that article
That's awesome. It does make me wonder though, do the people working in the call centers realize that they're scamming people or do they think it's a legitimate business?
Me too, thanks for mentioning that
The one time I don't check the comments before reading the story...
I had my iMac serviced last year. I made an appointment online. After waiting 5 mins at the store, they checked me in and did some diagnostics. I was in and out in 15 mins
Launches Nov 11. This should be some nice competition for those knock offs you see at the mall around Christmas time.
It's a neat toy, but I wouldn't say it's awesome yet
Sure thing. It took about two weeks to arrive after I received the shipping notification
I backed the KS at the PocketCHIP level. My PocketCHIP arrived Monday, FWIW.
Wow, quite an interesting story. I vaguely remember this device being on the market, but I had always thought it was made by the same Tiger that made those little LCD handheld games
I wasn't aware of that thread or that subreddit! Thanks for the link
Just got home from work and bought it. It definitely seems like the kind of game I could sink a ton of time into, so I agree, great value
Wow, I really want to play this. I enjoyed the Kelfigs games on Xbox, but was disappointed that they were so limited.
There was another post he wrote about Peace a few days ago:
>I don’t feel good making one and being the arbiter of what’s blocked.
He doesn't have a problem with ad blocking, but doesn't want to be the one deciding what's blocked and what isn't

In case the author of this letter sees this comment: the articles I've seen spell his name "Ahmed." It's spelled "Amed" a few times in the letter
They've posted a response on their blog:
"We announced a new subscription licensing model and JetBrains Toolbox yesterday. We want you to rest assured that we are listening. Your comments, questions and concerns are not falling on deaf ears.
We will act on this feedback."

Do you mind sharing which carrier you have now? I've been looking at switching to one of the lower cost carriers, but haven't seen one that supports the iPhone.
I'm inclined to agree. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but I've always admired businesses that are able to charge one company for removal, then sell those same goods to someone else.
My favorite (though fictional) example of this: http://wiki.lspace.org/mediawiki/Harry_King
Fascinating. Thanks for the link
