Software development is changing rapidly with AI integration, economic shifts, and evolving job roles. How do developers stay relevant in this landscape? My thoughts on adapting to these changes.

Let me know your thoughts on how we can future proof our skills.

I’ve been working with serverless architectures and recently explored SST v3. This guide demonstrates how to build a serverless API that stores JSON data in DynamoDB, processes new entries via DynamoDB streams, and sends email notifications all without managing CloudFormation stacks. The integration of SST v3 with Pulumi and Terraform offers faster deployments and multi cloud support, which I found particularly beneficial. I hope this tutorial proves helpful to others navigating similar challenges.

Were you around during the last recession in the field? I am just wondering your experience

I would say yes. However, I would say be flexible if you need to get a job outside of tech to survive do it and volunteer or try to get side gigs if you can.

I worked as a janitor for a year when everything was crap.
