Re:A searchable collection of Seth Godin's book recommendations
on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @10:55AM (#49979443)
In 2009, I couldn't decide what book to buy on Amazon for a holiday read, and I ended up buying every book on one of Seth Godin's reading lists. They were all gold and I've followed his recommendations ever since.
Finding his recommendations was harder. Some were buried in old blog posts, others on pages that had disappeared. I dug through the web and the Internet Archive and built this in 2017.
I've just updated it. There are now nearly 500 books listed, with his comments and links to the original recommendations. You can search and filter them, or see which ones he keeps coming back to. Maybe it's useful to you.

Interesting but Laravel usage seems so low. As Laravel uses React or Vue etc I feel like a site could be easily classified as React when it’s Laravel running the show.

Nicely done, are you proxying the images as I would have thought the cameras would crash with multiple connections

If the agent is sending emails to people you don’t know (“sourcing quotes”) wouldn’t this be a violation of Amazon SES (and all other email providers) terms? Dont they expect permission from the people you are contacting? How’d you get around that?

Sounds like the title should be “from WordPress.com”
Wordpress.org is free open source software, WordPress.com is the for profit hosting side.

Feel free to insert an analogy that pleases you. WordPress.com is a hosting company that has its own staff and contributes approx 40 hours per month to the WordPress open source project. WordPress core development is made up of contributors. The AI builder is not available for WordPress, it’s exclusively for the hosting company WordPress.com. WordPress.com on their basic plan restrict any plugin usage. There are no usage restrictions on the open source software. This is just a taste of the distinctions. The title of this post has now been updated, but regardless, WordPress.com is not WordPress.

WordPress.com ≠ WordPress
Conflating the two is like mistaking GitHub for Git.

Not mentioned so far - Adrian’s Digital Basement. He rips apart and fixes old tech and I love watching him geek out over some old transistor

I’ll be moving my admittedly small projects to CloudFlare Pages.
I find it slightly disingenuous that Netlify still promote the free plan on their website without mentioning the public git requirement.
