Instead of an initial, I'd recommend putting an emoji in the first name. (And putting your last name as your full name). I've been able to filter out most "InMail/auto" when they say something along the lines of "Hi {emoji}."

I learned of it here: https://www.glennstovall.com/the-wolf-test/

I'd suggest trying Dark Reader extension for your browser. It's a life-saver for me.
Had base-tier Confluence at one company. Super nice.
Google Flights will render a whole calendar of prices.
Re:Show HN: The Vue.js Handbook – Free 120 pages ebook on Tuesday June 26, 2018 @07:55AM (#17399760)
It's reminiscent of the Succinctly series by Syncfusion. We were considering Vue at our workplace, this will make it a quick read. Thanks!
From the looks of it, when you give you email they're adding you to a job posting list... (main monetization scheme)

An additional feature might be to allow posters to also select which characteristics they have and tailor it to you...per say?

Just a guess.

Re:How does hacker news work? on Friday November 03, 2017 @03:11PM (#15621560)
Anyone is allowed to submit articles. It shows up on new, and then there's a custom algorithm that puts it in the "top of the list."

A good example is reddit.

Re:Ask HN: Best VPN for personal use / privacy? on Thursday April 06, 2017 @11:25AM (#14051389)
I personally use PIA, now the service is slower (than other services), but they've clearly proven themselves :)

I work for a religious university (so the pay is meh). I would say that it's the relaxed culture in IT (I can come in any time between 8-9), good benefits, and free classes.

You're supposed to use the free classes to work on your masters but I use it to take the "fun" classes you can't during a normal college run. And the boss is okay with it :D!

Re:Ask HN: Which programming bootcamp should I attend? on Wednesday December 25, 2013 @12:13PM (#6963438)
Thanks for the information. I'm trying to get a job once I finish these bootcamps. many people have advised me to not take some of the bootcamps because they focus more on the frontend (HTML, CSS, Node.js).

My email is [email protected].

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Ask HN: Which programming bootcamp should I attend?

Hey Hackers,I've been doing some research into programming bootcamps recently. I've seen that many people recommend Hack Reactor, DevBootCamp, MakerSquare, and Devatory. Is there a special reason why many of these camps teach RoR? Which would you recommend and why?
