I hope they go extinct. I don't know how its in the USA but in India is has become a joke. Every news site is owned by a political party.
Re:Ask HN: What was the outcome of Reddit blackout? on Sunday November 26, 2023 @09:47PM (#38427508)
It was complete submission lmao
doesn't make a fake disease real. symptoms might be real but they are not because of "long covid"
> At the end of the day, they are still your users and you might learn things from the other apps.

but those users don't see ads on 3rd party apps. they already know what all they can implement to improve user experience. they just wont, willingly

This surely is speculation. After the aimee incident I'm sure reddit would have booted all risky candidates off the payroll

Also I have a question, where do Indians appear in these stats? Under Asian?
LOL this happened with us too. We were 2 indians and 2 white guys from norway in the team. We needed to add more jr devs to our team to carry out some of the tasks. They only ever sent us resumes for women and when we finally hired 2 women they thanked us for being a open and accepting team. We had to weed out 18 candidates before we settled on the only good ones. so it was almost 2/20 hit rate
Re:Ask HN: Best Replacement for Atom Editor? on Saturday November 19, 2022 @07:48PM (#33676829)
VSCode has extensive plugin ecosystem now and has a lot of inbuilt features. It works great, has become a default editor for me. Unless I need Rider/VS2022. I just hope they separate all their jupyiter notebook stuff into an extension so I can disable it. Feels like unnecessary bloat having it by default when they have such a great plugin api

Re:SAT score distributions in Michigan on Thursday October 06, 2022 @02:19PM (#33111948)
calling this test biased is stupid. people who study hard score better. its the same with any test all over the world.
Re:Cloudflare’s 2022 Annual Founders’ Letter on Monday September 26, 2022 @08:22AM (#32982213)
This some R2Cringe2. Where was this emphasis on why censorship was bad when they capitulated to randos on twitter?
