Excellent point. We are forced to slave by news, parents, schools and college, etc. Promising that one day we'll be movie Gods and millionaires. But we won't and we are slowly learning that and we are very pissed. Life is more than just career. It is about enjoying too.
Even if I give up convenience for security, I may not be a seasoned DevOps guy like the one who is payed good salary to do that 24x7. So it turns out that self-hosting is not for everybody. Small mistakes in configuration can lead to entire infra getting compromised.

Ask HN: Should you be self-hosting critical servers like Bitwarden for 2FA, password manager?
Ask OP: how do you plan to make money or atleast support cost of website?
FDroid gives same functionality in a different mannner.
Only if HN had downvote button
This is total BS. If anything that needs a fix is Mozilla. They have been taking money in 100s of Millions of dollars from the same company that tried to kill their flagship product.
Nothing is wrong with Internet. But a lot wrong with Web. Mozilla cannot fix Web until they start attacking FAANG, which I very much doubt they will.
Seriously, creator of well-know shitty operating system with shady business practices?
When you say 'fast', it is fast compared to what?
Node.js does not beat Go Lang in terms of handling large numbers of request and performance (of course)
So the question is Node.js good? Depends on your use case. Test yourself and decide yourself for your use case.

Why can't you create a documentation file which explains the code and how to get started. Tell me an idea more simple than this
