just remember that being an intern doesnt mean youre a slave. dont let some a-hole fast talk and act like he/she is doing you a favor by letting you do their work. you should get just as much out of it as you put in. take the time to evualuate the position. there are many people in tech who will gladly take advantage of you.

i'll ask around and see if i know anyone who has anything.

what qualifies as an improvement? links? the ocassional post? a pic of gramdma? who gets to decide? you? or should we have a government agency for that?

what if they want it for just email? what if they had plans for it but life happened and they didn't get around to it?

if it wasn't a .com would there be all this stink?

like i said below a domain is not a physical asset. it's 0's and 1's. it's vapor. the value of that domain exists in peoples minds. it is not like land at all.

well at least there is one logical person here.
What resource??? It's a domain name. Several ASCII characters slapped together. He laid claim to text? We're not talking about something physical...
I dont get how the guy is a parasite. He has a product and this guy wants it. An offer is made and if no agreement can be reached then it doesn't happen. It's called the free-market.

Or is it just because the guy wouldn't sell it for $200 that he's a parasite?

And why couldn't this just be done in OpenVPN??? All that would be needed is the steno part...
I personally just hand over all my receipts and bank statements to my CPA and tell him to get cracking. He works hard for the money.

I'll also add that i 110% agree with "pitdesi" about staying away from Quickbooks. ESPECIALLY ON MAC!!! Their support/documentation is horrible and the lockin sucks.

NetNewsWire (Mac) is what I use. I've tried quite a few and really like it. I don't think it's lacking much.
