'an' is used when the sound of the next letter is the sound of a vowel, so in the case of eN-E-S, 'an' is correct.

In english multiple vowels in a row cause you to take a pause, which is why the -n is added

Worth noting, the other posters are correct in saying that 'a snezz' or 'a ness' is also correct.

I wouldn't have trusted bloomberg either way, but the guardian deserves respect. There was a spectacular chance that his password was maga2020

I'll never understand how some of the brightest minds of our generation can end up following this guy. I understand we're seeing confirmation bias => brainwashing en mass, but people on this site should be smart enough to break out of the cycle

Most of what we do drains the earths resources. If a large portion of the population takes the easy route, they'll end up consuming less. Less consumption means longer lasting resources.

Part of the reason we're tapping out the earth is trying to keep up with everybody around us. If people can choose to live simply, they'll normalize a less consumer-driven lifestyle

> "What is most worrying is that something sold decades ago has been repurposed to help thieves. With plenty of old gadgets collecting dust, some will tinker with them in the hope they can unlock a car”

As always they quote people with absolutely no knowledge. Pictures are obviously a look-alike shell (probably sourced from china with a pi or similar already inside), and adding radio functionality alone is a bit more than just 'tinkering'.

Theres a saying in business 'sales cure all' meaning that no matter what else is going on, having enough/more sales is an answer to the problem

Sales is also all about creating emotion in the buyer. For drugs, that emotion is present without a salesman having to do anything.

The early internet was literally anarchy, that was one of the things that made it such a great place.

The new web is commercial, monitored, controlled.

One of the few sites that I'll always remember discovering. Around a decade ago i wandered over in the middle of the night. Almost in awe I was there until the sun came up.

If I remember correctly he traded the BTC to another user who then put the pizzas on his credit card
