Tell HN: The latest macOS Sequoia update seems to revert the eMudhra workaround

I applied the workaround from emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com that removed the compromised certificates. Then ran the curl check:curl https://dv-g3b-emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com/and curl wouldn't connect.I then installed the latest update for macOS Sequoia (15.8.2 (24H230)). When I now re-run the test I'm getting:curl https://dv-g3b-emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com/Your client successfully...

But that's agent behavior, and not harness responsibility...?

Nah, this is a deliberate choice.

That would have a few undesirable consequences... for example, you wouldn't hire a 70 year old writer for your commercial project no matter how brilliant they are.

The complexity of our legal system is in many cases justified. The problems are often the numbers (duration of copyright protection etc.)

Re:The console wars have been lost on Monday July 13, 2026 @06:52AM (#48890745)
I always find this argument pretty weak. Most of my household appliances are unused most of the time. And I very much value the fact that they're available for me if I want to use them. Why would I somehow want to give up that autonomy for my game console just because it happens to be connected to the internet?

I have gaming machines from the 80s that still work and that I still love. They're not e-waste.

Re:Show HN: Teach your kids absolute (perfect) pitch on Monday June 22, 2026 @04:58AM (#48627615)
That's not true for everyone. Some extraordinary musicians with perfect pitch also reported that it starts drifting for them as they age (I remember Oscar Peterson and Jacob Collier telling this)
I guess they're referring to Ricky Mondello https://hachyderm.io/@rmondello
Yes, I can try to memorize the order of the cards. What a lousy workaround, and absolutely no reason to defend poor UI design.

But it is exactly as bad as they describe it. My bank doesn't provide color options for my cards, and there is no way to distinguish my two cards aside from the displayed four digits.
