I never knew I always wanted to know. Neat.
He goes on to further state:

"Quick review of the #ShadowBrokers leak of Top Secret NSA tools reveals it's nowhere near the full library, but there's still so much here that NSA should be able to instantly identify where this set came from and how they lost it. If they can't, it's a scandal."

Re:Geocities Cage at the Exodus Datacenter on Friday November 25, 2016 @06:58PM (#13040819)
Good memories.

Does anyone remember where an Exodus colo facility was in SF around that same time (1999-2001)? That was my first visit to the area and I can't seem to locate the neighborhood now that I live here.

Re:Selling bottled fresh air to China on Wednesday December 16, 2015 @09:29PM (#10749091)
Spaceballs.
I was making $1-3k monthly. I logged in at the end of November (*edit: 2012) to see what my Xmas bonus was going to be. Turns out it would be a big, fat zero. Account suspended/canceled.

I submitted a claim and they said: sorry, no - you're done.

There was zero reason to do it. No ToS violations, no fraudulent clicks. Just $30k less in my bank account for the next year. The second most frustrating part, aside from the loss of revenue, is that they won't tell you why or what caused the cancellation.

Edit 2: RIP AdSense account, ~2006-2012

Re:A new, more visual way to view your Promotions tab on Tuesday March 25, 2014 @02:45PM (#7467916)
Agreed. Why spend the effort on the new display look then?
Re:A new, more visual way to view your Promotions tab on Tuesday March 25, 2014 @01:00PM (#7467072)
My visits to the promotions tab has been reduced to 0-1 time a month since their introduction. I guess they need to try something to get those visits back?
Re:Google goes down for 2 minutes worldwide. on Saturday August 17, 2013 @01:47AM (#6228300)
"Between 15:51 and 15:52 PDT, 50% to 70% of requests to Google received errors; service was mostly restored one minute later, and entirely restored after 4 minutes."

Re:Dropquest Scavenger Hunt on Saturday May 12, 2012 @03:59PM (#3964939)
I'm stuck on 16... doesn't seem to be doing anything after I shared the folder :/
I hid IE after installing Chrome frame, then replaced both Chrome and FF icons with the IE icon.

Just in case.

Paid Google Apps now required for any domain with more than 10 users

Not really a big deal for me, but definitely a change. Here's an email I received today for one of my domains:----------Hello,We recently announced upcoming changes to the maximum number of users for Google Apps. We want to let you know that, as a current customer, the changes will not affect you.As of May 10, any organization that signs up for a new account will be required to use the paid...

Re:At least now we know why Color really got that funding on Friday March 25, 2011 @05:51PM (#2370501)
Actually, I think it will be much worse than that. Think: location based advertising. In order to use color you have to allow GPS for the app and, optionally, push-notifications. A perfect combo for pushing ads when you're within X range, etc.

I sent a tweet to them yesterday, but got no response. https://twitter.com/#!/tenaciousJk/status/51033367050846208

edit: group response to the below

No geo-ad platform has this low barrier to entry with this high of an incentive. Simply snap a pic and it's recorded and you're "checked in" if you will. You're doing something you want to be doing: recording your event, people you're with, etc. With 4S and Gowalla you have to want to check-in. Checking in is the app - not recording your memory by way of a picture/video. Sharing pictures is the biggest social app on the web.

I saw this yesterday and loved it. I'll spare you my critique - the logo new logo is great!

Re:Opt out of browser history-based advertising on Monday March 07, 2011 @12:50PM (#2297963)
It let me opt-out of all except AOL's ad tracking...
