Apple produced MacPro in US a few years ago, what about that facility and workers? Will this facility has the same destiny like MacPro?

Do you have your own dependency resolution algorithm? Can we have the most lightweight node_modules directory?
Re:Claude's C Compiler vs. GCC on Monday February 09, 2026 @05:04AM (#46943561)
I curious, maybe AI learn too much code from human writed compilers. What if invent a fresh new language, and let AI write the compiler, if the compiler works well I think that is the true intelligent.
Re:The times Yann LeCun has been wrong about LLMs on Friday February 06, 2026 @03:43AM (#46910493)
If he keeps boasting about world models but never go to deliver one that actually outperforms LLMs, then he's nothing more than an influencer.

Ask HN: In the era of AI, which language would you choose?

Factors to consider when choosing a language and tech stack for a project/engineering effort:* Ecosystem maturity * Development speed * Learning curve * Recruitment difficulty * ....With AI, since 90% percent of the code is not written craftly, So these factor maybe not exists anymore? So how do you choose language now? Can we choose C++ or Rust purely based on cost/runtime execution speed...

Funny, C# app only tested on Linux
I will phase out this tool, definely
Obviously, based on its price, it was a commercially unsuccessful product. Really want to buy one, when I was a student.
Re:Ask HN: Do you still use Search Engines? on Tuesday April 08, 2025 @10:11PM (#43628301)
I'm still using it.

If some AI answers I'm not sure or suspicious AI crafted it, I'll search it for cross validation.

Amazing, there is still new sort algorithm today!

Have a read about Servo, it is binding with SpiderMonkey as JS engine.

Is there some chance, that servo decomposed from SpiderMonkey? If it is not, I don't think anyone can tell difference between firefox and other browser use Servo.

Re:Now we have Image Cache uses IndexedDB on Sunday July 28, 2024 @12:42AM (#41091267)
IndexedDB do have ability to save blob data, don't see any package/lib using IndexedDB as the image cache.

So I write it, and published.

Pros:

* No localStorage 5Mb size limit

* Keep the cache as long as you want

* Better for some expensive action cache (download/alogrithm calculated)

UI framework, just makes your life suffer

I'm a front end developer, did a lot of develop works, so I used many UI frameworks.MUI/ant design/microsoft fluent ui/bootstrap ...I found the truth, all UI framework just makes your life suffer. The orignal idea I choose a UI framework is simple: this framwork has plenty of components, and it looks beautiful. And after you do all the job, the headache begins:* override some components' default...

Re:WebContainers: Dev environments. In your web app on Saturday July 13, 2024 @12:12PM (#40954861)
You can use xterm.js to implement interactive cli in browsers, and you can use backend language server to implement autocomplete.

xterm.js is just not so fashion.

Good tech, but only good fit for StackBlitz.

Don't know who will need this product to run a node.js enviroment in browser.

Re:I think NextJS lead reactjs to a doom way on Saturday July 13, 2024 @03:04AM (#40952360)
Your solution is workable, but abondon the Reactjs philosophy, use state as internal data.

And only if you are a experienced developer, new comers never know how to solve this.

Re:I think NextJS lead reactjs to a doom way on Saturday July 13, 2024 @03:01AM (#40952347)
Nextjs just deconstruct the React, and build their own stuff

Yes, that's provider-lock relationship, no other cloud provider have such service.

I think NextJS lead reactjs to a doom way

I'm a front end developer, use Reactjs a lot, heard of nextjs for a long time, but never use it.Finally I maintained a nextjs based project.Yes, I know they create Server Component/Server-Side RenderBut, everywhere are server components, it means, you can't use useState, useEffect and such client-function at all.It means, nextjs turns the SPA to refresh page.It means, you can't use...
