Re:Claude Opus 4.8 on Thursday May 28, 2026 @03:50PM (#48314433)
I believe analogy with smartphone will be best for this case.

In 2010s iphone was the king, all those Chinese devices ware cheaper but not even close to smoothnest and usability of US tech, now after 15 years later everything is changed, now iphone feels like old grandpa to Chinese tech. Same will happend to LLM's just much faster.

I tried almost all OS models on opencode, none of them is on levels as opus 4.7.

In latest experiment I used opus for implementation plan then used cursor composer 2.5 for execution.

I must say that combo is really good. Main drawback of claude code is that is super slow. So when paired with composer that is super fast it flies.

Time to move all my code from github. I was hoping they it will get better but it looks like it is getting much worst. Good bye github.
Can I register using VPN malta IP to get free plus?
Re:Points are a weird and inconsistent unit of measure on Saturday May 16, 2026 @10:59AM (#48160821)
As someone from european continent. Those US measurements units look and feel so hard to work with.

Instead metric system is predictable and easy to work with.

Real question is why US just don't move to metric system?

What is difference between superpowers and this?

I use superpowers for several months now and it really does help. But still 90/10 rule applies, 10% of time it will produce stupid decision. So always check spec.

I wanted to try this. To bring back opus and sonnet do I just reset those env's?
Re:DeepSeek v4 on Saturday April 25, 2026 @02:10AM (#47899115)
It intercepts json commands and turns them in tool calls
Re:DeepSeek v4 on Friday April 24, 2026 @02:19PM (#47893959)
If you have access to any other model it can create create pi extension that fixes problem. At least worked for me.
Re:DeepSeek v4 on Friday April 24, 2026 @01:27AM (#47885943)
Anyone tried with make web UI with it? How good is it? For me opus is only worth because of it.
This article brings some flashback from Winamp skinning days.

Anyone else liked to skin they Winamp?

Re:Good Sleep, Good Learning (2012) on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @08:08AM (#47777963)
I can relate to this. Got two kids and I must say if someone told me that it will be this hard I wouldn't believe it.

Raising kids is the hardest and most fulfilling job.

Those Casio watches are just amazing. I got legendary gw-5000u and it has become part of my body. I'm wondering how much 30+ year are feeling like author of this post. I for sure do not want any device that I need to babysit.
Re:Improving my focus by giving up my big monitor on Saturday April 04, 2026 @02:15AM (#47636356)
For me anything bigger then 27' is just too big. I also stopped working with two monitors.

Main thing that was contributing to that is Cosmic desktop environment is has amazing defaults and adaptive scaling and if I need two displays just put window in second workspace.

Re:Your sign-up form is a weapon on Thursday April 02, 2026 @01:22AM (#47610283)
I had similar situation on WooCommerce shop. But it was much more signups per hour. Putting turnstile in front fixed problem.

My conclusion is to move from WordPress software as fast as possible, every WordPress site I manage gets bombarded by bots.

Re:An industrial piping contractor on Claude Code [video] on Saturday March 21, 2026 @07:21AM (#47466028)
You are 100% correct. That guy just did not know that he has developer soul.
This is amazing. I have to test it with my reverse engineering workflow. I don't know how many people use CC for RE but it is really good at it.

Also it is really good for writing SketchUp plugins in ruby. It one shots plugins that are in some versions better then commercial one you can buy online.

CC will change development landscape so much in next year. It is exciting and terrifying in same time.

This website is beautiful. I wish I have skill to craft something like this.
Re:Nano Banana 2: Google's latest AI image generation model on Thursday February 26, 2026 @02:31PM (#47170884)
This looks like a response to Seedream 5.0 lite that was published two days ago.

I use all those fancy image models editing capabilities for my fast fashion web shop. I must say: product photography for clothing and accessories product is dead. Those models are amazing at style transfering and garment transferring.

We will see how good will be Seedream 5.0 full version.

Re:Is particle physics dead, dying, or just hard? on Tuesday February 10, 2026 @12:50AM (#46955863)
To my uneducated eye it looks like they are stuck in limbo for 120 years. Nothing practical has been create based on those theories. It is just words and calculations spinning in circles.

I wish those people focus on practical real world physics. So we all can enjoy new innovations.

Re:Euro firms must ditch Uncle Sam's clouds and go EU-native on Saturday January 31, 2026 @06:53AM (#46835792)
France cloud provider scalaway has great prices. In some services they are cheaper then AWS. So I think that devs just need to research a bit more.

Also Hetzner (germany) is super cheap when compared with US hosting providers.

I used CC in year age and it was not good. But one month ago I paid for max and started to rebuild my company web shop using it.

It is like plowing land with hand one year age and now is like I'm in brend new John Deere. It's amazing.

Of course its not perfect but if you understand code and problem it needs to solve then it works really good.

And slow Bureaucracy :)
Re:Iran has now been offline for 96 hours on Monday January 12, 2026 @02:27PM (#46593024)
I have friends who wore going to Iran for business meeting. Friends are from former Yugoslavia state who still have connections to Iran. They export sparkplugs to Iran.

Interesting thing is that they say they never seen such a beautiful country with even more beautiful people. Also they said they filled up two full car tanks for ~5€.

Their conclusion is that people there live much better life(more fulfilling) then people in western countries.

Hi, everyone. I got big flood last week. Weather was crazy and water got to my company warehouse. Luckily company local server was not in that room. Of course I was to lazy to set up any automatic off site db backup. But now I got it working. I wanna hear you thought? Is it smart to use email for db backup or should I just upload it to remote server? For those lazy like me, try to setup this app...
