When you have 50x or 100x leverage, you will either get rich quick or go to zero quick.
Hoverboards or some sort of motorized shoes
Interactivebrokers is the cheapest at about $1/trade. Thinkorswim has the best software.
It's the device, not the power source. I have an old iPod shuffle that won't charge at all with of those USB wall chargers - it requires a computer.
I actually just received this one. It was listed for about $150 by Amazon with supposedly damaged packaging but everything is perfect and I love it! Thank you.
Would this work with ads? Organic, free traffic from HN and blogs is nice, but it seems more like a low probability gamble than something you could count on. Your growth is going to be random and you really can't do any projections.
The lifetime value of each subscriber is really high, so it seems to make sense that you could spend $XX in customer acquisition costs.
I've wanted to do something similar for a while, but this is really my only sticking point.
But companies like Pandora and Spotify aren't profitable even at these numbers. If this artist made 10x as much, he'd still be upset at only making $40 for 14,227 music plays and these streaming companies wouldn't be able to function. This is also a barrier to entry for new startups that want to offer music streaming.
There doesn't seem to be a number that artists would be happy getting and that music streaming companies could actually offer them.
This is great. It would be nice to see the next couple of songs that are going to play and maybe a delete button next to them. A Youtube version would also be useful.
It's like IM/texting with the exact layout of Twitter. Are we at a point where it's almost impossible to innovate anymore? Is anything created in this space going to be only slightly different than _______?

The press must know by now Mtgox is an inflated price, but they still continue to reference it as the price of bitcoin.
Were they not using raid or performing multiple database writes? A mechanical hard drive failure is pretty common and can be mitigated fairly easily.
This looks like simple probability based predicting. For example, if you're in college you likely have a decent job in the future. In tree form, the next branch would say based on that, you probably have a family and children.
The film the Adjustment Bureau explores this concept on a large scale. If you miss your morning bus, you would never have sat next to your future wife and the tree branches out in a completely different direction. It would take more than a supercomputer to figure out every possible direction your life could take.
More than likely a guessed admin password.
AWS (or similar) so you can switch to a bigger instance when you have a traffic spike.
Or just use Cloudflare.
Make growth hacking a main priority. If you can get every user to invite one other user, you'll have a huge site in no time.
I think it was a man-in-the-middle attack, so everything during the transaction was stolen.
