Of course not :D

Re:Ask HN: Are you tired too in this AI era? on Friday October 30, 2026 @09:31AM (#50303629)
There will be a generation who grow up with AI who don't know how to solve puzzles other than AI told them the answer. They will fill up the SW developer bucket quite quickly so that those who recall the pre-AI days will be vastly outnumbered. It feels bad now but it only going to get worse.
Re:Ask HN: Are you tired too in this AI era? on Friday October 30, 2026 @09:26AM (#50303567)
SW development skills are changing. The sheer amount and volume of AI code means eventually just accepting what it churns out and hope for the best. That's the direction it is going to converge to.
I'd like to see them all rounded up and put in prison indefinitely. Denied bail and left there while their crimes are documented. Everybody connected to DOGE should be in prison, all the way up to Elon.
brew install vorssaint

Thank me later.

Re:RIP Virtual Box on Friday October 23, 2026 @02:41PM (#50213548)
What I mean is that the developers are all been let go by Oracle apparently.
Re:Why do we have so many meetings? on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @09:31PM (#50174977)
No agenda then no meeting. No meeting longer than 30 mins. Never, ever, EVER let a meeting over run. Which part of Never do you not get?
Isn't this just WSL2 v3?
If the police have nothing to hide then they've nothing to fear from this.
Re:Car is a smartphone on wheels. Here's who's listening on Sunday October 04, 2026 @07:07PM (#49958885)
It's the people who try to stay below the radar who will get most attention.
Re:macOS Golden Gate Is a Buggy Mess on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @01:06PM (#49896571)
SL had plenty of UI updates.
Re:The Copilot+ PC brand is dead on Saturday September 26, 2026 @09:57AM (#49856610)
Apple "Intelligence" being behind is now being sold as a value add by the Apple fanbois.
Re:I said no and Apple said yes on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @08:48AM (#49800393)
They should provide a kill switch to kill the AI slop. People. Don't. Want. It. Listen to customers.
yada yada yada
Robots are human, too. Ah, wait. Never mind.
Re:Comcast Is Turning Its Routers into Motion Detectors on Tuesday August 18, 2026 @08:34PM (#49355008)
I have my own router. Does that mean Comcast will call the cops for a welfare check every few days?
I noticed that UBO Lite doesn't cause the ad boxes to vanish like UBO does. You see this on the likes of the weather.com webpage.

Arthur 1.2 I believe.
Re:The Myth of Snow Leopard on Sunday August 02, 2026 @06:28PM (#49149074)
The final SL point release was very stable. Still is. Lion was a horrible and nasty release which shouldn't have seen the light of day. FWIW, SL introduced several new UI elements into OS X as they needed something to show off at release. Something. Anything.
This is a wonderful app for pairing. No Logitech spyware needed!
I avoid installing Logitech spyware on my Mac but there are FLOSS apps to do the equivalent. There's even a pairing FLOSS app for Linux to avoid installing Logitech spyware. FLOSS is amazing. LinearMouse is the Mac app.
If it's not malware then what is it called today?
Re:A Year On: The DOGE Disaster on Friday July 17, 2026 @06:41PM (#48952978)
This is why he should be immediately arrested upon a Democrat president. All Musk's assets should be seized and he should be put in prison until his innocence can be proven. There is a lot of levelling that needs to be done. All the DOGE brats should be rounded up too and their assets frozen.
The Flock CEO is the terrorist here.
What does this mean for a large Word document? Will people using OpenOffice.org get arrested for loading a novel?
IT admins don't make technology decisions. They're there to do work, no think.
