Re:iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) Prompts on Thursday May 13, 2021 @12:45PM (#27144307)
Wondering how other app developers are handling ATT prompts? Well stop downloading every app you can find, and check out this collaborative gallery.
Sylvain here, I wrote the post. If any of you got feedback from Apple on their App Previews as well, it would be awesome if you could post it in the comments!

Cheers

Re:Will Google Hang Up on Voice? on Wednesday April 17, 2013 @02:32PM (#5566142)
Wish I had started by reading your comment, and save me some time.

It would be a real bummer to see the phone number I'm now putting on business cards disappear...And I'd like Google Voice to let me place calls from my phone, too (when not in the US, you can only call from the computer). And transfer any call to Google Voice directly to my cellphone..I don't want new features, I want better quality and the same features than US users.

I like the idea, but I'm starting to get a lot of this daily recap emails...And if just one of your VIPS has had several discussions on twitter on a specific day, you'll still need to scan through all that. We need only the interesting tweets from our VIPS ;)

I'm going to stick to using lists (not perfect, but easy to check out on Tweetbot).

Re:Stop working so hard on Wednesday April 03, 2013 @02:38PM (#5488092)
It's not easy finding that right balance, if there is one. Some people (like me at times) also like to work by doing sprints (2/3 crazy weeks) then resting (3/4 days vacation).

Looking forward to seeing the recap videos on YouTube.
Exactly. Get some clients to pay for your product (or your soon-to-be product).

I am not ever again doing the mistake of developing something in my corner. I want to see the money!

Find market/fit before trying to grow.

Kinda complicated on some parts for me, but neat! Thanks for sharing.
Re:What to do when you hire someone better than yourself on Wednesday March 06, 2013 @03:12PM (#5333505)
Yes but we're talking about a startup, not an administration...And if every hire is someone with talent, then when someone new comes they shouldn't be afraid. Especially if it's a talent that comes and complete the team (or replaces the CEO on some of his tasks).
Re:Calling Vault - a private Google Voice (sort of) on Wednesday March 06, 2013 @03:08PM (#5333481)
It looks like a simple to use product. Does it cost minutes for call forwarding (when someone calls me?)
Game looks great. Pretty neat website, I like the attention to details. Best of luck!
Re:An iOS App Marketing Strategy Guide on Tuesday February 12, 2013 @11:20AM (#5207715)
How easily is your app found for your major keywords compared to these competitors? If you're #1-#3, then maybe you don't need to change something that is going well.

It is what most experts (the MobileDevHQ, Appcod.es, SearchMan SEO and App Store Ranking peeps) recommend though. I tend to believe them, even if there are definitely other factors in ranking well.

It doesn't have to be tacky, like a list of keywords. Maybe those few keywords can make for a nice, short tagline?

Agreed. Pretty powerful when used well. Some apps clearly misuse them, though.
Re:Pros and cons of popular mobile analytics platforms on Friday December 21, 2012 @01:59PM (#4953982)
Did they pivot? When I last was in contact with Yozio, it seemed to me that it was more of a campaign tracking tool in order to know where installs were coming from. TapStream is another. That will one day be the topic of another post ;)

Thanks. Added it in the comments.

I liked the idea too, and was pretty impressed when using it.

Hi guys, this is Sylvain from Apptamin.com (wrote the post).

Don't hesitate to share your opinion either here or in the post comments about what you like and dislike (and explain why) in the app analytics tools we took a look at. It might help other app developers make the right choice!

Thanks, Sylvain
