mehal and I are former Dynaboard engineers, so we are well aware of the situation. No one is more upset about the removal of Dynaboard than the team, but it doesn't justify poor pricing practices from competitors
thanks for letting us know! we are working with the site team now to add that polyfill
Hey, do you have any more info about your distro/chrome version? I am running PopOS 21.10 with chrome 96.0.4664.93 and everything looks normal here. We are working with the designers to fix the ResizeObserver issue, but can't seem to recreate this one.
Thanks!
Disclaimer: I am an engineer working for Dynaboard. Seeing this post get so much traction here inspired me to quickly build out a simple hacker news clone in-app as a small demo. Welcome to HNCeption!

I have a sandbox project I built some time ago to synchronize watching youtube videos with friends (
https://lifeboatradio.com). A small group of us use it as a shared radio similar to grooveshark back in the day. During quarantine I am trying to build a similar version that allows you to synchronize watching videos from other sources, so I can hold a virtual movie night with friends. Hoping to use the output of this project to improve lifeboat too and bring it back up to date.
This is incredible. Starring and downloading to try it out now. Thanks!!
It looks as though the process is solving the puzzle the same way humans do (enumerate possibilities for each square, then assign value to the ones with only one possibility and repeat), so I'd say yes, you can.
Awesome, looking forward to trying it out!
Rather than trying to exhaustively predict all the pages you could ever want, maybe it would be smarter to build this as a middleware. That way you could also support things like post requests, multiple emojis in a path, or paths off of something other than root.
Additionally, you could allow your code to accept a mapping of emojis to strings. That way people could use other emojis without hammering you to support them, and the same emoji could be used to represent different strings on different sites.
Overall I think its a cool idea, but if I were you I'd be worried about the huge amount of work to extend this functionality as-is if it got popular.
Also not to pile on, but the world "hello" is misspelled in every single usage on the page.

For those of you that haven't heard of jsonnet (like me 3 days ago), its an extension of JSON which can use logic and functions to template out data. I was exposed to it when our company upgraded our DroneCI instance to 1.0, which requires a new yaml config format. Their docs recommended using jsonnet, but for the life of me, I could not find a way to compile that jsonnet on windows. All my searches turned up instructions to brew install jsonnet, or libraries to handle the jsonnet in code. I decided to use one of those libraries (thanks @rbicker!) and create a simple CLI tool that would work across platforms.
I hope you like it, and here are the relevant links to the libraries and technologies used:

I was reading an article about the newest features coming to Angular (
https://blog.ninja-squad.com/2019/01/31/angular-cli-7.3/) and was intrigued by the `nomodule` attribute. However, I do not use the CLI for my Angular projects, so I instead made a plugin to do it for me. It uses `minimatch` to find any files you list as being only needed for older browsers (or IE) and labels them with the nomodule attribute.

How does your site have no scrollbar? I know its a small thing, but it looks so clean...
Steady | Web Engineer | Full-Time | Atlanta, GA | ONSITE
Steady is looking to hire at least one more web engineer, so that I can take a vacation occasionally. At Steady, we aim to be the advocate for persons needing supplemental income. We have a job board focused on part-time, shift, and seasonal work, a benefits marketplace to help stretch your hard-earned dollar, and an income tracker to help you figure out what's working best. We are looking to grow these features and add even more, and you could help us!
Our webapp stack is Angular 6 (7 soon), Express/Node, and SCSS for styling, all communicating with a C# WebAPI business logic API layer.
Check us out at https://steadyapp.com/about and if you are interested, send a resume to ayost (at) steadyapp.com
Come work for Atlanta's next startup unicorn, and help us help people.
Do you have any plans to add a webpack plugin to inject SVGs at build time? If not, do you mind if I try to create one using the API provided?
This is a pretty large library used by many organizations to process mail in a node environment. The developer recently re-licensed the parent project "NodeMailer" back to MIT from EUPL with a blog post about how people were simply violating the terms of the license. His frustration in that post, combined with this sudden burst of closings is worrying to those of us who rely on his projects.

A lot of people in here complaining about the (admittedly clever) name. Seems like the bigger issue is whether you have any chance of them even responding to your license request. What is your chance of winning a legal battle with them if they keep your data and don't pay you?
Since everyone else in here is using Django or Flask, I feel obliged to chime in with Express on Node.JS
I built a small website for some old groovshark buddies once that site died where we could meet up, chat, and listen to music together.
Its a collaborative radio, where users queue up songs in playlists, then rotate playing a song off the top of their list for everyone to hear. It was originally built as a stopgap until we found something similar but better, so we called it lifeboat radio. But it's kinda become our permanent home now...
Here's our hosted instance: https://lifeboatradio.com/
And here's the repo if you want to host your own!
https://github.com/swimmadude66/YTRadio
Join us in our hosted instance on fridays for "Fuck it Friday" where we play (preferably musical) shit we found from deep in youtube!
Kabbage | Software Engineer | Atlanta, GA | ONSITE
Kabbage uses data pulled directly from a business's transactions to better evaluate their credit worthiness and offer them a line of credit. Our partners also use this data via our Kabbage Platform, allowing them base their loan decisions on same credit data, with their logo, their money, and their customers.
We are growing at an exponential rate and are in need of Full-Stack engineers with experience in C# WebAPIs and Angular2 Typescript front-ends.
More information on our open positions can be found here:

cool idea, but the majority of the videos on the "videos" tab make me immediately wary of how useful this will be.
There's one guy (Mike_Egg) who owns the majority of the videos on the page. That in itself is suspicious, since if they were so frequent over a single location, we wouldn't need something like this to catch them. The videos are also VERY sloppily edited, though. Meaning they are feeding fake data to this system and having it flag artifacts they shopped in.
its a cool idea, but I'd maybe put some policing on your user-submitted videos to weed out the obvious fakes if you want to gain credibility that this system works

A couple years ago I made some of my first online friends in a radio station on grooveshark. When it got shut down, we scrambled to find each other and a new home. After a few false starts, I decided to make a new home for us.https://github.com/swimmadude66/YTRadio became that new home. Its just a simple MEAN (with mysql and Angular2) app, but its worked for us for a little bit. It was written...
