I have an app that's been sitting in review for 9days now...
no feedback, nothing. It's been in the Mac App Store since it opened, but lately Apple has taken a dislike to my app, and likes to drag its feet with looooong review times. this has occurred with the last few updates. In the meantime, I have also released a completely different app, and updated that a couple times.
I de googlified over a year ago, but just realised I was still serving some fonts for my site via google... I'm totally happy to be "mostly" google free now.
I still need my hit of youtube...
:(
I deleted mine in late 2017
:)
I am happy I recently left Australia, and that my company is incorporated in the states with European servers.
I can't imagine the govt would want any data on any users of my software (not that I have any other than what any standard mailing list would have). But this law still gives me pause before thinking about ever moving back... such a shame, as it's a great country. But out of principle, im not sure I could move back knowing that the govt could ask me to spy for them whenever they feel like it.
open up a small ice cream store with short work hours, and spend time with your family.
:)
looks great,
I'll switch. I just disabled the telemetry in VSCode, but don't really trust Microsoft to do the right thing.
woah, glad I asked.
thanks for the links.
I've updated my settings
any word on VSCode?
should I be worried and switch back to Atom
I have the same postfix dovecot setup and would love to setup Spamassassin correctly. Do you know of any tutorials which outlines how?
Sounds like the us cable system all over again. pretty soon it'll be filled with useless subscriptions you'll never use, and still have to pay for.
tbh, ive moved away from Wordpress, I find it too bloated for my needs. I been experimenting with Jekyll, and think eventually ill move over to Hugo.
the new extensions model is ridiculously useless...
You need to build your extension in Xcode now, and for anything other than content blocking, the APIs are non existent...
for instance, you can't even close tabs!
I made an extremely simple extension using the new model around 2months - before I try migrating an older "actually useful" extension. But theres just no way its possible to migrate.
Apple doesn't care about browser extensions now, it seems they want everyone to move to the new model, so they can collect revenue on sales on ad blockers.
:(
great resource, thanks for the link
I left facebook around a month ago. It hasn't made a difference in my life. Although it was a non-trivial amount of work to purge it from all my apps and websites. App sales are the same - a few ppl commented that they were happy i'd removed fb. My social life is exactly the same as it was before - now I can easily just concern myself with what is happening in my tiny part of the world.
this pushed me over the edge to delete my account too.
facebook is toxic
I always use DDG first, and then as a last resort ill look on Google. I think I only really checked on Google maybe 2 or 3 times this past month. For me Google is mostly irrelevant, and I could quite happily not use it.

Id like to clarify that Cookie is a cookie manager for Mac OS X.
