I believe the library mentioned in the article should be this one https://geodyssey.github.io/overview/overview.html and here https://www.lukatela.com/geodyssey/
It remains to produce the flux capacitor for time travel now :P

[Ardupilot|https://ardupilot.org/] maybe? It's for controlling the drones, but I think it has simulators as well.

Not related to this story, but this one https://milk.com/true-stories/stupid_computer_users.txt was hilarious :)
Re:Roger Ebert Reviews "The Shawshank Redemption" (1999) on Sunday February 08, 2026 @09:41AM (#46934593)
I recently saw it as a play in a theater, and although I had my reservations regarding this, the result was an interesting experience. The minimalist staging shifted the focus to the performances and the emotional weight of the story, highlighting the quiet persistence of hope.

The title of the play also differed from the movie, Rita Hayworth: Last Exit, which feels somewhat like a spoiler. I believe this was the title used by the Greek distributor.

So is this like https://comma.ai/ but for bigger vehicles?
Re:Eleven v3 on Friday June 06, 2025 @04:18AM (#44198809)
This is kind offtopic (although it's a text to speed model so it might not be so offtopic :)), but the eleven word reminds me of the comedy sketch with the voice recognition technology on an elevator in Scotland, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbDnxzrbxn4.
Re:I Analyzed Chord Progressions in 680k Songs on Friday April 18, 2025 @09:05AM (#43727708)
There is a nice standup sketch from an Australian comedy group, the Axis of Evil, that most of the pop songs are using only four chords, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pidokakU4I
All those GPS art pieces reminded me of Nazca lines in Peru, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazca_lines. Are the GPS art pieces a modern version of Nazca lines?
Re:No GPS required: our app can now locate underground trains on Wednesday November 13, 2024 @03:54AM (#42124176)
This is a very interesting article. I suppose something similar can be made for vehicles entering a tunnel, where eventually will lose the GNSS signal.

I have noticed that a year ago or so, Google Maps app would lose the GNSS signal and stop updating the position while there was no signal. But now I have noticed that the position is updated, although is not accurate. I wonder if something similar has been implemented...

An interesting thing that Google does is to watermark the AI generated videos using the [SynthID technology](https://deepmind.google/technologies/synthid/).

It seems that the SynthID is not only for AI generated video but for image, text and audio.

Re:Open source app to watch videos from any platform on Wednesday October 18, 2023 @03:44AM (#37925905)
Checking at the https://futo.org/, there is a number of other projects worth checking

* [Circles](https://circu.li/): A private photo sharing feed for families.

* [FUTO Voice](https://github.com/abb128/LiveCaptions): A voice input app for Android that respects your privacy.

* [Polycentric](https://docs.polycentric.io/): A distributed text-based social network centered around communities.

* [Live Captions](https://github.com/abb128/LiveCaptions): Accessible live captions that are completely private. It seems that Live Captions are the same with FUTO Voice.
