The reason I try not to pay for Anthropic is because half the engineering questions I ask get flagged as "too dangerous". Examples: spraying liquids at relatively low pressure, creating small AI models to detect objects via Raspberry Pi cameras, and calculating collisions between moving machine parts. Claude blocks me on almost EVERYTHING, even though the questions are completely valid science and engineering questions. I see NO REASON to pay for Claude when Kimi or GLM's quality it almost as good and I don't get rejected all the time for absolute nonsense. Anthropic is trying to be the uber-safe children's chemistry set where its ok if a kid drinks all of the chemicals in it while playing with it. That's not how you run a successful business. This is just the natural result.
Please God let a model or company as capable as Claude/Anthropic come along soon that doesnt require ID so that we don’t all end up as uncreative mind slaves.
AI assistance does not eliminate human authorship. A comment may be drafted or refined with tools but still reflect the user’s own ideas and judgment. Prohibiting any AI assistance would be difficult to enforce and would likely exclude normal writing aids that many people already use. The more relevant standard is whether the commenter stands behind the content and participates in the discussion.

You must follow the law in your home country. Your refusal to do so constitutes Treason. Obey the law.

Do you all still agree that SaaS is going to be fine?

I guess BBC has never heard of Iran. They easily passed the 3.5%, so the government “reduced the percentage”. BBC, you are completely disconnected from reality.
Re:Ideas Aren't Getting Harder to Find on Tuesday December 16, 2025 @12:18AM (#46285061)
Go to the army for five minutes and you’ll find 10 different ideas of products to create. Your failure is based on your limited and narrow perception, not the lack of ideas of things to create

Re:Scientists debunk claims of seed oil health risks on Sunday October 05, 2025 @02:13AM (#45479214)
Gotta protect those precious greasy canola seed dollars, right? Seriously, does anyone even believe this?? I'm guessing High Fructose Corn Syrup doesn't cause diabetes either... As soon as some health investigator has a look at one of their profitable products, a squad of "scientists" rush to the scene to officially deboink the myth that it gives you heart disease. What a joke. And a sad one at that.
Thanks, I think I’ll stay with the old school non-malware version ;)
What type of proof would you like? An official statement by Pakistani militias that the government asked them to do it? We see similar tactics being used in Syria by Al-Jolani / Al-Sharaa to wipe out the Alawaites (20-50,000 executed) with the same being planned for the Druze. That way the government can say "it wasn't us", although of course, they didn't prevent it.
Re:Sycophancy in GPT-4o on Wednesday April 30, 2025 @01:27AM (#43841552)
How about you just let the User decide how much they want their a$$ kissed. Why do you have to control everything? Just provide a few modes of communication and let the User decide. Freedom to the User!!
This makes no sense. CEO’s are inherently capitalist, but SF is a communist city, so her appeal is absurd on its face.
Re:Zelensky leaves White House after angry meeting on Saturday March 01, 2025 @02:52AM (#43217027)
Ukraine just lost the war. Europe has no weapons to give them. They will now have no money from the USA. Zelensky was stupid and he bit the hand that fed him. Now he must live in shame and watch his country be conquered by Russia. I think Putin will change the name of Ukraine after he wins. What do you think he will call that land?
Re:Robust autonomy emerges from self-play on Friday February 07, 2025 @07:12AM (#42971717)
Yes, playing with yourself with “smart toys” stimulates improvement and leads to a happy ending.
Hamas just changed the terms of the deal, demanding the release of hardened terrorists. The deal will now likely fall apart. They are a terrorist organization, and behave as such. This “deal” is just another avenue to wage psychological warfare, in their view. The war in Gaza will likely continue.
Re:I Switched to Firefox and Never Looked Back on Tuesday January 14, 2025 @08:38AM (#42697034)
Firefox still crashes for me. Multiple computers and laptops, PC’s and Macs - it always crashes. I test it every few years and the crashes still occur. It makes it an unusable browser. Instead I use Brave.

Zuck still dreams of his despotic dictatorial empire where he can enslave millions and make them all trans via Police enforcement. This move is just to stop bleeding users to X.

Re:Hezbollah pager explosions kill several people in Lebanon on Tuesday September 17, 2024 @04:06PM (#41572100)
Maybe Hezbollah shouldn't play this game. They obviously aren't good at it. If they continue, they will receive more punishment. Who knows what item of theirs will explore next? They have lost this war since Israel is obviously superior.
