Absolutely. Yes.
What are some good examples of such companies?
An alternative is using `direnv` and `.envrc` instead:

export TOKEN=$(op item get 'My Service' --fields label=token --vault workwork)

This reminds me of Dome of Visions, which has now come out in 3 iterations.

… would the overall "economics" of HN make sense if a down-vote cost 1 point of reputation, or some fraction thereof?

I think it'd be possible to inject this kind of thing into your code if you're just starting out with vim, aren't cognisant of all commands you invoke, and then copy/paste all code straight into a browser.

The newsworthiness of the piece is probablity in the rarity of Torvalds giving an interview.

Re:Super Simple Mocking For Python on Thursday February 23, 2012 @04:57AM (#3624395)
Agreed. I did the following:

    def __enter__(self):
        self.original = dict(self.obj.__dict__)
        self.obj.__dict__.update(self.mocks)
        return self

    def __exit__(self, typ, val, traceback):
        self.obj.__dict__ = self.original
This doesn't perform a deep copy, but prevents modifications on self.obj.__dict__ from modifying self.original also.
I can imagine the release coming after sufficient interest in the current legal proceedings against Assange die down, such that the leak obtains full attention.
Re:Ask HN: Anyone using Python 3 in production? on Saturday June 26, 2010 @05:14PM (#1464294)
The big holdback for my outfit is the lack of NumPy support.
