Hello,I built an MCP server that connects Claude (Desktop or Claude Code) to iTerm2. It lets the AI read what's in your other terminal tabs and send commands to them. What it does:
- List all open panes with their working directories and running processes
- Read the screen buffer from any pane

The assumptions is that most people that say horrible things online are cowards and would not say it in person.
No to clarify I didnt say make it illegal, I said to de-anonymize it. If you are gonna say controversial things they just have to be tied to your name.
Honestly I am on the edge about this, but for the sake of argument how is it evil or inhumane to de-anonymize certain types of rhetoric from digital communication. I dont think freedom of speech includes anonymity in it.
yeah this is what they say but I think this argument doesnt work at scale. Singapore and China are both safer and relatively free-er than many places
I used to be on your side but now that I live as a minority where the locals are increasingly becoming hostile and their very abusive rhetoric is accepted on social media and forums like reddit I actually want them to face the consequences of such speech and be deterred from uttering anything like that with their devices. (They can do so privately at the bar I have no problem with that.)
Another example is the recent nepal protests.
More abstractly I think that a multi-cultural or multi-ethnic society at scale is not able to handle anonymous and private communication without collapsing. If we dont go in the direction of benevolent censorship like China and Singapore I think the west is going to see some dark times.

Hey HN,I have been building this for the last couple years and probably spent way too much time.First I wanted to make an automated trading strategy based on crypto coins breaking support and resistance lines but after writing a whole system and backtesting infra I realized it doesnt work :(So here it is now as an app where you can learn to trade crypto based on these signals. I hear you. This could be the most important improvement. Making sure the news is not too negative while also telling the most important stories.
Thanks everyone for checking out my little website. It will forever be free although I will play with one sponsored ad at the top to monetize it at some point.
From the feedback here are the next steps.
1. Making the titles shorter with an ai model.
2. Tagging articles and putting the tags / topics on top bar for filtering.
3. Attributing sources like wikipedia in the footer.
4. Adding some more sources and have a minimum amount of positive stories. There are ongoing wars at the moment but it cannot be too depressing to read news either.
5. Improving contrast of the subtitles.
6. After titles are shortened have a way to see a very short summary (similar to the current title) somewhere
7. And finally add login and upvoting so we can rank stories better.
From what I understand people like the design so that will remain unchanged.
Feel free to suggest anything I missed
I think upvoting of stories should give us a bit more relevant stories at the top like another user pointed out.
