I have quite a lot of allergies myself. May I ask, isn't all allergies due to the protein?

Verry Verrry Cool and neat!
a teenage hacker huh
i thought open models weren't SOTA. therefore not neck and neck... in your experience, do you think it depends on your type of work?
I read this for my AP USH class. It's an interesting read that gives a little bit of very _interesting_ point on stuff. It's a fun book to read.
I have a question, what is considered a Frontier Model? Because its performance is kinda similar to Luna (Max)... I thought frontier meant like 6.1 Sol or 6 Astra or Opus 5.5??? Could someone explain this to me?
On the other hand, (while you made a completely valid point,) some people who are new to a field, like young aspiring computer scientists who don't know how to do some stuff and need a guiding hand, will find this tremendously useful. Also, technology and compute power has been growing a tremendous amount over the past 5-10 years (now we have 20-100 billion transistors in chips!). <-- enough to sustain this wild use of compute

Indeed, what a time to be able.

Love this!!!

A lot of academically successful people recieve everything but a "normal" education. They are the ones who have developed the ability to self study from a young age and have the drive. As cliche as it is, a lot of the academically successful students I see are the ones who are passionately curious. While many of the Asian kids are obviously more inclined to be more motivated (due to their parents), this motivation makes them passionate at the very least. Some other students simply love the thrill of being better than their classmates. From my observation, a lot of those kids love going to schools where they are challenged and all their peers are equally if not better than them. This cycle is ONE of the MANY reasons why they are so successful.

This seems fun but... kinda sus....
For the 1 dollar per hour, may I ask (without trying to incite things) why you would not just buy a ChatGPT Plus subscription or other 20 dollar subscriptions? Do you like the privacy?
Re:Hacking OpenAI on Thursday September 17, 2026 @11:54PM (#49750003)
The unfortunate truth of doing the right thing. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but there are too many bad things out there and companies can't give 1 million bounty for stuff like that. I'm sure they could but in the long run, wouldn't it be unsustainable?
Re:Hacking OpenAI on Thursday September 17, 2026 @11:53PM (#49749993)
That's why people like doing bad things. It pays. Why do you think movies like using this single theme over and over again? It's always happening
Re:Claude Cowork and chat are now one Claude on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @01:25PM (#49730210)
Exactly! Imagine if it booked like a 3000 dollar 1st class flight because it thought it was providing you with "the most comfortable and hospitable experience as possible."

The fact that people asked for it means that there is a demand for it. Maybe you aren't the target audience? One size can't fit all. People just have to adjust and go.

Agree, and it allows ordinary users to have a taste of both worlds, instead of being like: "eww, what is this black box and why doesn't my mouse work"

Jan Ken Po!
All depends on perspective I guess. Smushed dino or human smarts.

The limitations that they state shouldn't really make much of a impact. But it was nice of them (and not to mention, real unbiased research) to mention those. Kudos to them!

Not that easy. Also, they have "priorities." Although their priorities are different than the users'.
khan academy is great for learning science too!
Imagine they make a MacBook Neo Xiaomi version. That would solve the form factor problem.
Oh ok, got you. While it entirely differs on how different people receive ideas, for me, I just try to keep the end goal in mind (what are we ultimately moving towards) and just think of those repeated words as just small steps rather than just annoying repeating word.
Why are there people in this comment section who are just downvoting opinions that they don't agree with?
My belief is that Khan Academy is tremendously useful when started at a young age and done consistently. I have been doing it for over 7 years and it was a huge portion of my childhood. Long term, consistent use of KA from a young age builds deep procedural fluency and (this is very IMPORTANT:) self-directed discipline that transform how a student handles complex concepts. Even though some critics correctly note and argue that automated drill and practice cannot replace creative, project based discovery and learning, daily mastery based practice eliminates foundational learning gaps (you get a solid understanding), lowers the anxiety around making mistakes (because you get used to repetitive practice), and automates core mechanics (it becomes a basic skill) until they become second nature. I believe that persistent procedural learning is very far from mechanizing education at the expense of real learning. Rather, it frees up valuable cognitive bandwidth and gives the precise structural confidence and fluency required to excel in open ended, high level problem solving that so many critics preach. This is my opinion as someone who did Khan Academy for 7 years (where I learned the procedural step by step learning and practice) and went to school at the same time (where I did the open ended problems and projects). I believe that Khan Academy will help millions of students learn and grow (and the computer programming community is great too!).
