I used this software for a long time, and it is targeted at people using a regular mouse but still want to have a trackpad ish experience (and making mac more mouse friendly). Things that I used day to day: smooth scrolling, horizontal scrolling, and middle click enhancements. It is free and open source.

Re:AWS vs. GCP reliability is wildly different on Thursday September 22, 2022 @02:04AM (#32935240)
GCP control plane is generally not idempotent.

When trying to create the same resource twice, all request should report the same status instead one failing, one succeeding.

In AWS, their APIs allow you to supply a client token if the API is not idempotent by default.

See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/APIReference/Run_I....

Re:Kinto: Mac-style shortcut keys for Linux and Windows on Thursday March 11, 2021 @11:34PM (#26432247)
This seems like a collection of shortcut remappings instead of a general window key to ctrl remap. That means that for example if Ctrl+p is not remapped, you can't use the win key.

I have an ahk script that's have a more general approach which maps window key to ctrl. It also remap the text navigation and mac style window switching.

I heard of a similar idea in an Acquired episode: https://www.acquired.fm/episodes/special-acquired-x-my-first... Wondering if this is somehow related, or you came up with the same idea independently
I used lunar on a daily basis. It syncs the brightness of my display with my MacBook Pro display pretty well. Give it a try.
