After trying to learn a few different languages the best cycle for me seems to be, remember the word in anki, then in more controlled real word setting like a class or language exchange try to use that word in conversation. If you're not willing to do that last step, I wouldn't even bother with anki if you're using it for languages
I've been there, it's a pain in the ass to get to. Took an overnight bus from Fitz Roy to Los Antiguos, had to walk a few miles across the border, got a taxi on the Chilean side to Chile Chico, stayed overnight because there were no more buses. Found some random bus from Chile Chico to Puerto Rio Tranquilo, the bus information on the internet was not accurate.
Was it worth it? Yes, absolutely beautiful, not touristy at all, met a couple in there 70s who had driven through Africa, which included the DRC. Mount Fitz Roy, Chaletan, although beautiful are too touristy. Everyone speaks english, they accept euro/usd, doesn't feel like you're actually in Argentina.
How does the performance of this compare to efs?
Are there any plans to support larger than RAM datasets? Like hdf5 or bcolz does.

I wonder what effects a night of drinking does. Yagerbombs and beer pong, probably not great for the gut.
Status Page says they pushed new code at 9:28am PST, or right when these errors started.
Will work great until you try to render 50,000 points and your browser crashes because it's build on d3.
If Ember is going to borrow so heavily from React, why not just use React and Flux instead?
My work recently switched to sumo and I love it. I've you've used splunk, logstash, elastic search + kibana previously and think sumo is the best. It is the right amount of power and simplicity plus great documentation.
This is just another generic Go vs Node post. Do we really need another post telling us about Go's concurrency/built-in features/compile benefits.
This post sadly doesn't really go into much details that bowery.io is trying to solve, how Go fits that and why Node was so bad.
A basic crud webapp would probably be better suited towards node and it's larger list of libraries supporting that kind of stuff.
On the other hand, building you own messaging queue or doing heavy mathematical processing might be better suited for Go.
If you don't know python and you're interested in analytics you should solve that.
IMHO you'll become a far better developer if you devote the majority of your time to learning advanced algorithms, ml, and ai as opposed to the new hot framework.
I wonder if this is built off apache mesos
This is pretty huge. I'd be interested to know what overstock's strategy is for converting bitcoins back to fiat. I also wonder if there will be any tax implications here for purchases made in countries such as Norway that don't consider bitcoin real currency.
Is there a good way to 2 way encrypt something in something like rails where the app needs to use the decrypted token. If you have app logic doing decryption then someone can just look at the source to figure out how to do this. Is the only good solution to use a compiled language?
I've been training at Crossfit Virtuousity for 5 months, 4 days a week. I think that they have an amazing program that reduces risk of injury as compared to many other non crossfit workouts I have done in the past.
First off they stress mobility, which many workout regimens don't do. I never really realized how important this was until I started crossfit. Most workouts consist of 15-20 minutes solely concentrating on mobility.
Second, no one has mentioned the concept of scaling, which is core to crossfit. Every workout has a scaling option so that you don't push yourself too hard. If you can't do a pullup you do it with a band, can't do that, do a box jump pullup, etc. Yet another way crossfit keeps one from getting injured.
If you need performance why not go with scala. The play framework is super easy to use. Anyone who is familiar with mvc will pick it up very fast. There is also Martin Odersky's course which is a great intro.
I think it just broke. The game just froze.
Because curing cancer and solving major issues doesn't make money right now. It takes major investment and years of research for something that may or may not give return.
Further, google is solving big problems. How bout better internet service, cars that drive themselves, making computers more accessible, a universal translater, etc.
How bout the fact that many of the top grads from schools go to work in finance. If we could get all those people to go work at google, the world would be a better place.

It seems like the same principles apply all over the place. Keeping things clear and simple whether you are designing a web page, an algorithm or some module is always the best way to go. In what situation would making something convoluted and overly complex be a good idea.
