As a programmer I prefer to avoid the semicolon cancer, so I think best is to get rid of the final period.

Re:Sentimental Versioning on Friday October 23, 2020 @10:27AM (#24869844)
What's wrong with version 48.0.0? Be it 73838.0.0. That's OK. What's wrong with a fixed 0 at the end? If your kind of software doesn't have a reason to release a path or a minor change, well, then that's OK.

Versioning is for machines and developers. Versioning is the way to communicate the scope of change. Tools rely on it. The ideal package manager should reject non-major releases that have breaking changes.

Softwares that don't respect Semver actually don't respect the developers that use them.

End users don't care about the version of your product (even if they are developers). Fast, what's your current Chrome or Firefox versions? (Hint: greater than 48)

This whole article is full of wrong statements about healthy and unhealthy food. And I'm not taking only about the advertisements.
All of the following made me a better programmer:

1) Functional Programming

2) VIM

3) Kinesis Advantage

4) tmux

Really, I can't think of programming without those four tools.

I want to travel in time in listen to radio/TV in a specific point in time.

This website is so bad. I scrolled too much and the address has been changed. Now when I'm trying to share it to others I get the wrong URL . Then I refreshed and I found myself in a different article without a way to get back to the one I read.

Re:Where to Put State? on Wednesday September 25, 2019 @02:36AM (#21068292)
Those programmes where I put state in one place dedicated to managing state (e.g. Redux) were much more easier to reason about then those where I put state everywhere, anywhere somewhere (Parent? Current component? Context provider? Apollo? Redux?)

Man, that should be that simple: Everything is from above.

Is it gonna change? Then it's a state. Put it in a state manager and pass it from top to bottom.

Every other solution is a workaround.
