this wasn't a promotional video, it was a live demonstration in front of hundreds of people.

The rocket version is also just cold gas thrusters, not carbon fuel based.

btw congrats on the company. i was skeptical at the time but it was never because you wouldn't attract awesome talent and make great hires. your process looks great to me.

my first job at a startup (first engineer after the founders) consisted of 13 hours on the phone with the CTO over a few weeks and then an in person all day interview that included traveling from Chicago to SF and a couple of dinners with the founders. this was 1996. our typical interviews after joining were all day affairs and they people almost all people that were referred in or had worked with in the past (I wasn't).

interviews at twitter back in 2010 were 6 hours and that was true even for me when we had an agreement to acquire my company pending the success of those interviews. at the time they had a lot of ex-googlers and they were setup similarly.

I wish they would turn their entire IDE into a CLI that an agent could use to more efficiently do work.

They included someone who died on the way to Reno hospital this year.
Glad you are on the case before these companies foolishly waste their money sending datacenters to space.
Re:Laya the open source version of Jev on Saturday September 19, 2026 @03:44PM (#49769567)
he is trying to say that you didn't make Jev at all. you fine tuned a model for a particular domain while Jev works across all domains. seems different right?
it is legal if you can do it, doesn't mean they have to like it. keeping features for logged in seems super reasonable to me.

i don't think there is a page on x that just gives you a login wall that a normal non-logged in user would go to. if you link to something like a tweet or a profile page it shows you them. these services are for scraping.
this entire thing is about people that aren't even users of the service.

JetKVM mini is ~$40 or ~$100 for 3.
All babies were exclusively breastfed in 3064 BCE.
I think graph being log makes it a little hard to understand that the median birth year was around 2000 years ago. On the graph that is in the flat part but the flat part was a really, really long time.

Love seeing people experiment with stuff like YQL (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahoo_Query_Language) taking advantage of all the AI stuff definitely increases the power.
Re:U.S. Sanctions Against the a/I Collective on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @03:53AM (#49519250)
based on every country that didn't adopt capitalism until recently, absolutely not. there are very few non-capitalist countries as all of them either failed or changed their economies.
Re:U.S. Sanctions Against the a/I Collective on Friday August 28, 2026 @04:15PM (#49483669)
Me being a capitalist and them being anti-capitalist, I don't think I will donate to their cause. I will instead point out that their manifesto would never exist without the capitalists, nor would it continue to exist. Capitalism is the single most powerful destroyer of poverty the world has ever seen and the engine that created and continues to create the digital realm. It remains undefeated.
Re:U.S. Sanctions Against the a/I Collective on Friday August 28, 2026 @03:58PM (#49483463)
i wouldn't characterize it as very expensive or even expensive. it is in fact super cheap. even in italy.
Re:U.S. Sanctions Against the a/I Collective on Friday August 28, 2026 @03:37PM (#49483268)
I couldn't help but laugh at this line:

The services we offer have no defined price, but as you may easily imagine, keeping the whole system working (i.e. hardware and hosting) is very expensive (at the moment it ranges around 13,000 euro every year).

TikTok does this so they can reuse popular content to game engagement.
this is within 500m of the datacenter. this is a deeply unserious problem. parking lots are probably a bigger contributor.
the energy consumption of EVs is already massively below gas vehicles. also, as others have pointed out, their tires already are within the regulations.
since this is about fuel consumption I assume that it doesn't apply to EVs

you are silly if you think this is limited to claude models

This custom prompt on claude.ai fixes it:
