These days I don't quite like the search results(especially website that rhymes with Radium) ridden with basic to-do list tutorials or full of generic chatGPT text dump. All fluff, no insights. Please share your tips/tricks/collection to optimize search results for good long-form technical articles.Fwiw I follow company blogs(Eg: AWS well architected, Netflix, Stickfix, Shopify etc) and find...
You can still get quite an improvement by tweaking settings.
I followed this[1] video tutorial. I was surprised to see especially how much of a difference white-balancing and using a custom LUT does.

I'd reckon sense of humor to be good indicator. If you're about to tell a joke in a room full of people, some people can consistently gauge early where you're going with it. And I find that intelligent.
The username packs a punch as well.
Different countries, different waves.
Thank you! That'd be immensely helpful.
Yes. Fantastic project! Woul love to know more details & key architectural decisions.

The amount of information available on the internet has largely surpassed our ability to consume it effectively. Hence we see a general trend of data consolidation - collecting information from multiple resources and making it neatly 'consumable' in one place. Some examples that come to mind
- Bookmark applications,
- News aggregation websites,
- Github's 'Awesome lists',
- Super niche...
I'm happy user of Chrome extension called savePageWe
^This. I would love to know this as well.
Is there a SOTA library for common web scraping issues at scale( especially distributed over cluster of nodes) for Captcha detection, IP rotation, Rate throttling, Queue Management etc.?
Definitely! Scrape the disk, not the web.

That’s great!
What is it that you do for a Living now? Did you stumble onto it or made a gradual transition away from coding?

If you do not personally scrape, what publicly available information would be worth scraping and presenting in a consumable(user-friendly) format?
Great job!! I looked at your HN profile & it looks like you’ve a knack for similar websites that compile information from comment threads.
I suppose you’re using NLP, specifically NER. Is there a blogpost that details your general approach? Or could you suggest how to extract such information from threads?
Good ol Reddit Yes-sir-oo.
Yep. Complete agree with sbarre. Could you kindly share more details? Would definitely like to do this as a weekend hack.
I’ve been using Jitsi for a couple of weeks and my experience has been pretty good so far.
Got a quick question if someone can answer. Is is some how possible to use OBS stream with Jitsi? For my use case, I work with an one MS-Excel window capture & my webcam input capture in the corner, to explain some concepts to my students.
Any help appreciated.
Great work, Arpit! Keep it coming.
I was naive enough to click in hope.
Understood the first two. Whats MUD?
I was on Amazon to buy the book 'Getting Things Done' by David Allen. And I stumbled onto some really odd reviews that didn't make sense. So I parsed the reviews and did some basic analysis.

A newbie here who plans to learn basic video-editing. I am in a dilemma whether to go for Davinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere. While the first is free, I noticed there are very very few assets(LUTs, Lower-thirds, Transitions etc) that are freely available for DR. Perhaps because it is still in its nascent stage. Do you happen to know any resources to find such assets for Davinci Resolve?
