Thanks for your feedback! Maybe I could have a thread somewhere to receive requests for data correction. Not all data might not be accurate.
Hi thanks for your feedback and also sorry for confusion.

The goal is basically to to leave your opponent with no valid neighboring countries to choose on their turn. I will think about how I can improve the onboarding.

Hi thanks for your comment.

I am guessing it's still pretty hard to generate almost the entire project at one time with a prompt. (I personally never tried it but even with this project, I split into small steps and took time to review it.) I'm curious about what you create let me know if there is an update!

Re:Show HN: GeoChess – open-source geography strategy game on Wednesday July 22, 2026 @11:20AM (#49008227)
Ok thanks for the feedback. I will add an option to show the used countries during the game.

> How good is the AI? We made a few mathematical games a few years ago and our problem was that the computer used perfect strategy. We had to add an easy mode. Perhaps your AI can have an easy model that does a shallow search to avoid stupid errors.

Yeah even though it says AI mode, it is just based on a simple algorithm, otherwise, players can never win. Just made a small difference between the difficulty.

> I don't see any selection neither.

Yes it's intentional. I thought if players can see the selection during the game, it is not challenging.

> It may be nice to start in the same continent of the player.

I think letting a user select a continent is a good idea.

Thanks for your feedback!

If they are visually selected on the map during the game, I thought it would be too easy.

Maybe I can add an option to let users see which countries have already been used on the map.

Hi thanks for your comment. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes I definitely need to improve the the UIUX for mobile layout.
I think they are good options for personal projects until it reaches a scale where costs really start to matter. For individuals, hosting servers are way more expensive and we rarely end up paying with serverless options. Geoguessr already has been having many alternatives so I expect it is hard to reach the point.
Thanks for playing it and giving me the feedback! I actually forgot adding it there. Will work on it soon!

Show HN: Geoguess Lite – open-source, subscription free GeoGuessr alternative

https://geoguesslite.com

Hi HN,I built and just released another Geoguessr alternative. The difference from most other games (and the official one) is that it doesn't use Google Maps APIs at all, which makes the game more sustainable while keeping the service free. This is the successor project to a Geoguessr-like game I built a long time ago. I've been learning since then and felt I could design and implement the...

Show HN: Tokyo Land Price AI – RAG App to Explore Tokyo Land Prices

https://tokyolandpriceai.com

Hi HN,I built a small RAG application that lets you ask questions about Tokyo land prices and explore them on an interactive map. I mainly built this because I wanted to try making something with an interactive map and real data, and I found Japan’s open land price data interesting to work with.I’d really appreciate any feedback. I’m just an amateur in data science and machine learning and I...
