Uploading images requires logging in. Logging in is broken. It redirects to https://meta.ai/?error=Token%20exchange%20failed and doesn't show any error message. Impressive.

Woah just found out my router (mikrotik) defaults to 10 minute lease durations.
Re:The Halo Effect on Sunday July 20, 2025 @11:59AM (#44626445)
These HALO deals are in large part a consequence of Lina Khan style anti-trust enforcement making acquisitions more difficult.
* The company can cut scope. So yes they will impact their ability to deliver by doing fewer things.

* The new CEO changing the strategy this much means he thinks previous leadership was wrong.

Is this a typo?

Until when will you take pre-orders?
Pretty sure they do rank sites based on performance: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/page-ex...
Organic food doesn't seem to fare any better in the report.
Re:ChatGPT Search on Thursday October 31, 2024 @01:54PM (#42009470)
There's some truth to that, but Netflix, YouTube, etc seem to be OK with both ad-supported and paid ad-free versions, so I think the logic you described does not always dominate the considerations.

Re:Jax and Equinox: What are they and why should I bother? on Friday September 13, 2024 @12:30AM (#41528035)
Re support: JAX is open source and X, Apple, and Google all use it, so I can't imagine it being abandoned in the next 5 years at least.
Re:Jax and Equinox: What are they and why should I bother? on Friday September 13, 2024 @12:26AM (#41528019)
Pretty sure it's Apple building it, and they're using JAX in-house so I imagine it will get better over time. Though they do love to drop support for old things so maybe M1 will never work again...

Re:Efficient LLM inference solution on Intel GPU on Saturday January 20, 2024 @01:36PM (#39070792)
OK I found it. Looks like they use SYCL (which for some reason they've rebranded to DPC++): https://github.com/intel/intel-extension-for-pytorch/tree/v2...
Re:Efficient LLM inference solution on Intel GPU on Saturday January 20, 2024 @01:34PM (#39070765)
I skimmed the paper but couldn't find it: What API did they use to write their kernels? I would have guessed SYCL since that's what Intel is pushing for GPU programming but I couldn't find any reference to SYCL in the paper.
