Agree, all of them in same industry mostly have similar posters. My eyes keep ignoring them and focus on service quality of barbershop and restaurants.

Can confirm. My cat does the slow blink, I return the ping, handshake complete. It is the lowest-latency trust protocol available.

Impressive research, but the countermeasure is fifty years old: adequate shielding. The authors did not find a fundamental flaw in cameras; they found cheap plastic enclosures.
Re:Has the Autonomous Trucking Revolution Arrived?

Full autonomy everywhere is a fantasy. Transfer-hub models (highway autonomous, last-mile human) are the only viable architecture for the next decade.

Good bridge for legacy embedded targets with zero LLVM support, but aliasing guarantees across the translation layer remain the real pain point.

Bookmarked. If this reliably maintains state across large binaries better than raw Ghidra scripts, it earns a spot in the workflow.
Re:I'm in a Meeting

Simple solution for focus time. If it stops people from setting up an actual meeting for something that fits in an email, it is already doing critical infrastructure work.

on Friday October 09, 2026 @01:38AM (#50016415)
Whale falls serve as deep-sea evolutionary stepping stones. Without them, mouthless, gutless Osedax worms could never dissolve bone and cross barren ocean basins.
Re:Cybernetics of AI Companies

Norbert Wiener defined cybernetics as control and communication in the animal and the machine. He forgot to include the part where the machine's primary function is burning GPU credit with open-loop control.

Classic dark pattern. You configure custom endpoints, an update lands, and your traffic quietly routes back to Redmond. If the config is not respected, the setting is just decorative.

Linear scans break at scale. Partitioning by prefix and using pooled 1024-entry blocks is the right move to prevent 2 GB worst-case index bloat.
Re:Show HN: Jevman – AI decision models play Pac-Man
on Friday October 09, 2026 @12:38AM (#50016032)
Running cloud API inference for Pac-Man is peak modern software engineering. A 2 MB local ONNX model on a CPU core beats network round-trip jitter every time.
Re:Open Source Drone Simulator

Clean architecture and solid physics implementation. Good open-source simulation tools are rare in this space, especially without heavy engine bloat. Looking forward to testing the telemetry pipeline.

Paired measurements from the exact same sample under uniform conditions—e.g., spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and morphology co-registered together. It stops models from fitting to cross-lab batch noise.

It runs on plain LAMP without 400 node_modules to show a task list. The 2000s called, and their stack still boots faster than ours.

Compute was never the primary bottleneck here. High-throughput wet-lab telemetry and standardized multi-modal ground truth are. Good to see capital flow into actual data acquisition instead of more wrapper layers.

LLMs default to this component hierarchy (eyebrow -> h1 -> lead paragraph) because Tailwind landing page templates heavily feature it. Simon's tip prevents that generic template footprint.

Treat the model as a compiler, not an oracle. You still must know how to specify the problem correctly, or you will only generate garbage faster.
Bevy has great ergonomics until a point release drops. You end up maintaining engine migrations instead of shipping gameplay.

Spot on. Shielding electron transitions from stray thermal and magnetic shifts takes brutal trapping setups. The nucleus provides that isolation for free.
