This was quite alarming! I thought it meant that Authy is discontinuing their iOS app entirely. Would have been great to mention even more explicitly that this does not impact iOS devices.

As of now, I can still see Authy on my iPhone App Store (last update 3 days ago). Indeed, I am not able to install it from Mac App Store on my desktop/laptop.

In any case, this resulted in my offboarding all my 2FA to a different app. Sorry, Authy and Twillio...

I am surprised nobody suggested Slax yet.

Thank you for helping in education and managing people's expectations. Here's my humble Product Management contribution. It's from a while back, but all still applicable IMHO:

Re:Tell HN: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on Saturday December 24, 2022 @04:59AM (#34115470)
Thank you so much for taking the time and initiative to put out this message. Wishing all a very merry Christmas and an awesome New Year!
I share this sentiment. Would be interesting to see how many folks this resonates with, maybe it's the beginning of a wonderful support group. And the irony that it started on HN will be lost on... well, nobody!
Did you mean blumbers?
Re:Ask HN: Resources for building own ad server? on Saturday February 24, 2018 @09:33PM (#16456801)
You can also take a look at open source projects that already do this. Revive AdServer [0] is done in PHP and it’s very feature-rich.

Re:Ask HN: What's the best book on leadership you know of? on Tuesday August 15, 2017 @10:16PM (#15024471)
I'd recommend "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willink. Yes, it's heavy on the military tone, the guy is a Navy SEAL. But I found the advice in the book most applicable in my role as a leader and manager.
I can recommend "Scaling up". https://scalingup.com/

Nice suggestions! Thanks!

Ask HN: What are good practical programming books?

I am looking for practical programming books. Think "Practical Common Lisp", "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" or "Ruby on Rails Tutorial". These examples happen to be freely available online, but I am looking for free or paid options for the following languages/frameworks: Clojure, Go, Rust, C#, React, Flask, Django, Swift.Any others that you may know of and care to share would be welcome.

Re:Ask HN: Best island to live and work from? on Monday October 22, 2012 @01:56AM (#4682019)
Singapore. Seriously, check it out. Great stability, awesome for business, gateway between east and west (in both directions), thriving startup scene, govt grants for entrepreneurship. Downsides: cost of living is a bit high, culture can be hard to adapt to for some, weather can be stiffling (equatorial tropics are hot and muggy).

I just go to stereomood.com and pick the mood I want to get into.
