Hi HN, I started building my product around 2 years ago as a Chrome extension. After releasing it, I realized I would never reach the quality of desktop apps, so at the beginning of 2025 I pivoted to a macOS app. I spent 3 months rewriting the codebase for Electron. I’m still using Next.js under the hood because the chrome extension used it, but in the near future I want to switch to ViteJS...
Yes, I've never tried ads for my app. But I will do it soon. Thank you!
My main differentiator is creating of polished screen recordings. It takes time to export the videos compared to the Loom solution where you can share the video instantly. There a big increase of indie hackers and founders. They are my main audience for now
Looks very promising! I've been doing automation testing for 5 years. Tools like Playwright already do evidence gathering. How is it different in your tool?

Slophunt haha, nice name! We have a new competitor of Product Hunt. Wishing you luck
I love the idea! So, instead of surveys with real people, AI does the evaluations?
That's a good idea! It would be great if it also had communities with people who wants to quit the same habit. Like a supporting group hahah

Hey! I’m currently making $3.5K/month from a Mac screen recording app with zoom effects. It feels like I’ve hit a plateau and I’m not sure how to grow it further. Most of my sales come from X and blog posts on my website. I’m trying to push both, but it takes a lot of time to see meaningful results.Any non-obvious advice on how you’d grow something like this?
How does it work? Do I need to listen podcasts using your app or I can do it on Spotify and skip the ads there?
congratulations on the launch!
love the idea! can i see the plans of strangers or only my friends?
I can imagine that in the near future we're gonna have such news almost every day, with so many people starting to build software without knowing the basics of coding.
That’s a very good idea! Spotify is moving in the right direction I think
