Anywhere I searched for “BPF tokens”, I kept getting something like, “BPF tokens let unprivileged containers load eBPF" and I wanted to use it, but all Google searches either led me to kernel commit messages or nearly 100% AI generated blog posts.
When I read these blog posts, they didn’t make sense, and I couldn’t find examples of failures someone ran into, or an explanation of why doing it a certain way led to failure, which IMO is critical to understanding the internals.
So I asked myself, can I build the entire token delegation handshake myself in one file and either create a token that I can pass to a process, or learn exactly why I can’t?

Ask HN: Best way to use Vim with AI for tab completion only (no agentic coding)?
I want to keep using Vim as my primary editor, but add AI in a minimal, controlled way:Inline/tab completion : ghost text that I accept with Tab, nothing autonomous. No file editing, no PR creation, no "agent" doing things on my behalf.A way to ask questions: something like a chat buffer or a command where I can ask about code, get explanations, etc. Again, I'm in control; it only acts when I...

Show HN: Minefield – Fast SBOM Management, 10k Packages Cached in 30s
https://github.com/bitbomdev/minefield
Hi HN! I’m Naveen, and I’d like to introduce Minefield, an open-source tool designed to simplify managing software bills of materials (SBOM) and identifying vulnerabilities in dependencies. It’s built to handle large-scale projects with speed and efficiency.Managing thousands of dependencies and ensuring they are vulnerability-free is daunting, especially in large software projects. Minefield...

These projects help with repository best practices and does some level of npm package analysis based on rules.
Talk to them often about code, technology etc.One thing that helped IMHO spending a lot of time in solving math problems (AOPS) , which made think through hard problems and had to grind through solutions which took time. My kids love Big Bang Theory and anything that is geeky. I talk to them about the latest things that are happening in tech like the recent hack and the malware.
I recently read this book https://www.amazon.com/But-How-Know-Principles-Computers-ebo... and sat and drew with my kids and,or , xor and nand gates.Building Mindcraft MOD can be another fun project.
Be patient and it helps a lot IMO.
Good luck :)
