https://www.manning.com/books/css-in-depth is an excellent option. This book helped fill in the gaps for me when it comes to modern CSS.
Might be helpful to expand on what you mean specifically by the worst parts in your view and how Ruby's decisions provide better trade offs.
> Corporate media does a fantastic job of ignoring and minimizing protests they're not in favor of

Honest question: What incentives do Corporate media have to ignore these current set of protests?

Two exceptions could be: - url hash links and the css :target pseudo class. - Links that target iframes

Not suggesting to use these patterns liberally, but they do work for light interactivity.

Re:U.S. Pauses All Military Aid to Ukraine on Tuesday March 04, 2025 @08:07AM (#43254025)
The USA was part of the Budapest Memorandum. This is a pretty strong reason for the USA to provide support for Ukraine. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum
Focusing on the multiple goals and limits seems like a much better way to measure the health of economies (or large systems). Is there any country that uses this model, or a similar one, as their main basis for measurement?
You are definitely right, I missed quite a few numbers in this set. (Thank you!)
Again, excellent point! These numbers clearly show why* my reasoning is missing a rather large portion of this set.

[edit] - fixed typo

Good point, the depth first search algorithm is a bit lack luster for this case: 1 -> .1 2 -> .01 3 -> .001 4 -> .0001 5 -> .00001 6 -> .000001 . -> .0∞1

I would definitely recommend not judging the quality of the video based upon the quality of my reasoning in the experiment.

> I would suggest discussing your approach and your doubts with a mathematician

Great point, this is my attempt to do that. Truly, it may be an inefficient means, but it seemed like a simple approach. Also, it is fun, even when I am wrong. It means I get to learn something new and see from a different angle.

> Another commenter already pointed out a possible problem of your "mirror" method: you're relying in being able to read a number backwards. To do that, you need to know all the digits. But it doesn't work well with numbers with infinite decimal digits like pi or its inverse.

True, this is a glaring flaw in the current reasoning.

Thank you for the thoughtful response!

Excellent point! Thank you for showing the glaring flaw more to explore.
Each time I hear the argument, that real numbers between zero to one are a "larger" (nuanced) infinity than natural numbers, I want explore and see if it is possible to make a one to one mapping between these sets. This post is my attempt. It was a fun thought experiment.

In this case the optimistic UI might be good to have a step like “this request is pending”. So when the form is submitted the data is ready to send and will send when it can. Ideally with an indicator that the user is offline and needs to be online to sync.
Here, only apply Don't Repeat Yourself to data not code. Making it mean each piece of knowledge should have a single authoritative reference. E.G. Avoid (if possible) places where state is synced.

Chris from https://www.seguintax.com/ does an excellent job. Have been working with him (for tax purposes) for quite some time. His office is in NC as well.
