I have read that there is private software for radiologists that has better training data, but I can’t comment on it myself.
Maybe someone who has used it can give some feedback.
I think doctors are going to lose their minds or at the very least get extremely agitated/frustrated as patients increasingly use AI tools to do self-research for symptoms and diagnosis. And I know this because I am guilty of this myself and recently had a dentist tell me to not do that. And this applies to so many health workers, your GP as well as your physical therapist, etc.
Recently I had Claude analyze an MRI of my knee and it gave me five different potential problems, but once I got the radiologist report - none of those problems were present, it did not detect that it was chondromalacia that I found out from the radiologist report.
Health and the current iteration of LLM's just doesn't seem like a great match.

Not had a chance to experiment yet, but will this be an upgrade for using AI for language learning?
I think the URL should be changed to The Verge link or something else as the current source is repetitive AI writing and incohesive to read.

What a shame that I no longer have access to my teenage-level conscience, I am sallivating at the idea of going wild with this and the Copy Fail cve.
The potential here to do all kinds of manipulation for search engines / AI tools is enormous. Perhaps the more scary thought is that someone could easily make an agent that would exploit both bugs to wipe out servers.
Good on these companies to publish their findings straight away as I'd imagine that both bugs would have fetched quite a lot on the black market.
This looks like an extraordinary find at first glance.
Does this mean you can go from a basic web shell from a shared hosting account to root? I can see how that could wreak havoc really quickly.
Probably to some extent it is marketing, but generally it has to do with significant bug finds to get the message out to the people who need to apply patches and/or be informed. Heartbleed, Log4Shell, etc.
Very few CVE’s get names dedicated to them like this, because usually when they do - it is very serious, as in this case.
I did the Everest base camp trek in late 2015, at that time it was quite common (saw it myself and heard about it) that people would do the trek up but to get down they would fake a leg/back injury or blame altitude sickness and the chopper from Kathmandu would come pick you up, as long as you had the right insurance.

I think Discord/IRC are the best two options for real-time talk. Social media sites are quite clunky for that purpose, but still useful to discuss the topic.
Will it be possible to attend virtually?
> In response, NVIDIA defended its actions as fair use, noting that books are nothing more than statistical correlations to its AI models.
Does this even make sense? Are the copyright laws so bad that a statement like this would actually be in NVIDIA’s favor?
New account. Plain zip file. Unclear instructions.
Those are clear red flags that HN users will consider and ignore the submission accordingly.
Write a blog about it and do a better presentation.
Interesting. I did a quick search but doesn’t look like there are any personal stories on this.
Can see it having been a unique experience, bonding with people over such a long period of time.
Looks like photos from inside the bus are also not available sadly.
Well, no. Upvoting a certain story doesn’t change the homepage to match it to similar stories.
Not much to say other than that this is really impressive work. Thanks for putting it all together!
