Quick Question: Why is efficiency a desired outcome in markets? Or is it just a natural outcome of competing players?
Does anyone here make money through these browsers? Either by selling ads or by some other means. I have a few ideas in this space, but I am not sure about monetization strategies.

Even if it exists, since you don't know a dominant brand in this space, effectively, the market is wide open for you, if you come with a superior technology
Thanks for all the great answers. I wish you the best.

>>The water mafia question is definitely a super important. The only way we can see taking on the mafia is to add more water supply on to the market. The only way we can do that is to enable micro entrepreneurs to sell water. As you probably know, about 50% of urban Indians have their own borewell, but less than 1% sell water. Phase I is to aggregate water demand using our IoT devices, and Phase II is to enable hyperlocal selling of water.

Thats an innovative idea with potentially many social ramifications(positive and negative). I will be watching it closely!

What is the best resource for understanding how to create FPGA constraints? Any good resource for floor planning ?
1) I remember reading about you some years ago. I think you were working on telling people/govt(dont remember which one it is), when water is being released. SMS based I believe. How did that work go? Was it profitable/scalable? 2) Can you comments on how profitable it is to sell data to Indian government organizations? Is it VC-level business or Lifestyle type of business 3) I believe you have to be in Bay area for 3 months as part of YC. For a business like yours(which requires on the ground presence), how does being in Bay area help? 4) Most important, how do you expect to take on politicians who control water mafia?
Re:Ask HN: What is the future of browsers? on Tuesday August 22, 2017 @07:54PM (#15077335)
grat ideas. Although I like this the most >The other huge opportunity I think is in web "filters". We've gotten to the point now that there's just a lot of crap out there, and with ad blockers and readability filters we've started to dabble in a meta layer. I think a future web browser will go full meta, where by default you don't see the actual web page, you see a thumbnail and a bunch of views on the data in that web page, and you only dip down into the giant messy interactive ad-riddled view if you want to.

The web browser is the only one who knows how much time I spend on each webpage and what I like inside each page. so it can optimize for that.

This is indeed a great idea but the only problem is that these frameworks may not fit today's responsive needs
