theology, algebra, coding, calculus, physics
Re:Tsrs: A Port of TypeScript to Rust on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @02:48PM (#50170872)
this is insane! saw a quote tweet of this by an infra engineer at chat gpt who said “ I'm looking at migrating over for the ChatGPT codebase and saw ~70% improvements on both wall time perf + peak cpu/memory usage.

this is great for getting work done faster but also much better if you want to run concurrent agents/worktrees at scale”. https://x.com/feedthejim/status/2112584843368570921?s=46

then i went and tried this on my own open source harness. type checking went from 10 seconds to under half a second and uses a quarter of the memory. madness

Show HN: Hotcell – local sandboxes for AI agents

https://github.com/sinameraji/hotcell

Hi HN! Sina here. i wanted to share this open source project (apache 2.0) that i've been working on for the past month or so. it's called hotcell and it lets you create/pause/manage sandboxes on any device (your laptop, linux vm, bare metal).i've tested it against various benchmarks that i found on computesdk (https://www.computesdk.com/benchmarks/sandboxes/) as well as the one shared by dax...

Re:Writing by hand is good for your brain on Friday July 24, 2026 @06:10AM (#49033371)
i've been writing since i was 8 and always felt there must be something special about writing by hand. nice to read this post and see the science behind it.

i recently bought my first fountain pen and some nice ink and paper and it's even nicer that way :) highly recommend it

Show HN: Kimiflare, Kimi K2.6 as a Coding Agent on Cloudflare Workers AI

hey HN, this is sina.i've had some cloudflare credits expiring on may 14 and was wondering what to do with them. when kimi k2.6 dropped and it was available on workers ai, i figured i'd build an open-source claude code clone with it. didn't think too much about it. (people asked if i know about opencode and tbh i learned about them only after i built this. but they seem really...

Show HN: Integral, AI-native Slack for teams and communities

https://integralhq.com/

i've been a power user of slack/discord and etc. since i was a kid and i dont like the fact that they get unusable/noisy after 20 members join.so i designed integral to get rid of the 2 biggest causes of noise on slack/discord and similar apps:1. channels 2. recency based feedi've replaced these 2 with a few subtle features (different approaches for business vs communities). check it out and...

Re:Ask HN: Who is hiring? (June 2025) on Thursday June 12, 2025 @03:44PM (#44262316)
IntegralHQ.com | CTO | San Francisco | Full-time | Cash & equity comp

Integral is AI-native Slack/Discord alternative. A communication app built for scale, since first gen communication apps get too noisy after 20 users start chatting. Pre-seed funded, closing seed round imminently. Currently a 1-person company. solo founder, Sina, built the first version (desktop & mobile) and launched and ranked #1 product of the day on Product Hunt and got early power users and has a 4k+ waitlist.

the ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer who has worked at early stage startups ideally as a CTO or founding engineer. experience with compliance is nice to have. being based in SF bay area is a must.

Show HN: Discord/Slack replacement + human-in-the-loop

https://integralhq.com

hello humans of HN. sina here, founder and ceo/cto of integral.i’ve built integral for 1 philosophical and 1 practical reason. i want to become the replacement to slack/discord/circle/etc for online communities and possibly organizations too.launching early and admittedly a bunch of features are missing, but i’m already migrating a paid online community that i run from slack to integral....

Personalised user manuals and P2P learning to startup founders learn hard things faster, save time and $ and not reinvent the wheel
Re:Community curated explanations for hard things on Tuesday August 23, 2022 @10:55PM (#32574461)
There's too much knowledge on the internet but no place to easily discover few tried-and-tested playbooks for learning hard and important things.

this is a very early stage MVP. My vision with Learning Loop is to organise the world's knowledge to help anyone learn anything, joyfully and efficiently.

Google organised the world's information and that's enough to help people in tech learn stuff online. We subscribe to a ton of newsletters and communities and filter knowledge. Most ordinary people don't learn like that. When they google something and get 3 billion results, they feel lost. Some go to reddit to find recommendations, and they end up finding 300 opinions on how to learn X. They feel lost again. I want a platform on which the volume of knowledge each person gets exposed to goes down over time, but the quality goes up. Optimising for person/content fit.

Long way to go. Open to feedback, criticism, talent.

Re:The Lesson to Unlearn on Saturday December 07, 2019 @11:14PM (#21734293)
Love it. I wanna put this in the context of innovation in education:

IMHO, a radical innovation in education is one that can address at least two of the following flaws and failures in the current education system, at any growable scale:

–Duration and cost –Content –Delivery

If I were to satisfy a VC, I could also add a 4th bullet point called "Supply/Demand", but since I'm not writing for a VC, then I'll write what actually matters. In the case of education, that is, it's okay to ignore the existing supply and demand, and focus on the demand that must exist that doesn't yet.

Wrote a memo on these and elaborated more https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/q4-2019-what-i-see-current-st...

P.S: I think I got lucky that my mom was a teacher, so I grew up having a definition of right and wrong different from what was expected of me, and that stayed with me throughout my education. I didn't do what was asked, but what I believe was right for my growth.
