It's worth it!
Citizenship is not enough, you have to live in the EU.

This is great to hear. Apple should be selling phones because their phones are better, or iMessage is, not because of social pressure, which is crazy.
thanks for sharing, I didn't know
But isn't the entirety of OpenAI compute on Azure?

A linter can catch some obvious errors: https://github.com/rhysd/actionlint. But yes, I agree, it's not a fun debugging experience.
Re:Bun 1.0 announcement [video] on Thursday September 07, 2023 @02:57PM (#37423868)
Everything about Bun is so exciting, not just the runtime, but the package manager is impressively fast.

On my small website, Bun is twice as fast pnpm which is already much faster than yarn which is much faster than npm.

I would love to try this out, but I would like to see a headless version of the desktop app as I do all my programming over SSH.
Re:GPT-4 is getting worse over time, not better on Wednesday July 19, 2023 @10:24AM (#36786888)
Also tried with GPT-3.5 which also catches the issue.

Response from GPT-4 just now:

edit: visionOS not realityOS
Looks very interesting, thanks for sharing this.
Totally. Any iOS, or in this case realityOS, IDE would necessarily have to be remote only to actually be useful.

You look at the letters on the keyboard, and "tap" by pinching your fingers. You can also just look at an input and start speaking.

Unless you want to continue listening to what's playing through the headphones. I enjoy listening to both the nature and quiet music when I go on walks.

$3499, gulp, but it looks awesome!

This would be huge for many applications, as "chatting" with GPT-4 gets really, really expensive very quickly. I've played with API with friends, and winced as I watched my usage hit several dollars for just a bit of fun.

Re:Rarbg Is No More on Wednesday May 31, 2023 @09:58AM (#36138495)
It's not too complicated. I heard from a friend, that all you need is a downloader like Sabnzbd, a usenet provider like Eweka or Frugal Usenet, and an index like Drunkenslug to find stuff.
It's blocked in the EU because they don't want to/can't comply with GDPR.
Re:Ask HN: How do I make a website in 2023? on Tuesday May 16, 2023 @07:13AM (#35960183)
I suppose. But it's totally viable to use Next.js without using anything from Vercel.
