Re:Alternatives to MinIO for single-node local S3 on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @03:01PM (#49717195)
i thought rustfs was AI slop?
where do you put this user_pref content?
if state is best shared, why keep it w/ the code?

You're gonna end up having to build a complex state sync system to a central DB anyways...

Re:Gloomberb on Thursday August 13, 2026 @11:54AM (#49287883)
This post / OP really needs to say if it's AI SLOP or not and to what extent. This looks like AI slop.
Link to non paywall version?
Re:Ziggity – A terminal UI for Git, written in Zig on Monday July 20, 2026 @04:10PM (#48984256)
prolly authored it in a tui and it crashed, since it wasn't written in rust
Re:Logseq 2.0 Beta (DB version) is here on Monday July 13, 2026 @05:27PM (#48899152)
i begrudgingly switched from logseq to obsidian.
Re:Podman v6.0.0 on Friday July 03, 2026 @10:01AM (#48775177)
that's a really bad stance... nothing wrong with compiling from source
this is interesting, i'm wondering if it can beat just installing go though.

I think it'd be interesting to build a adhoc config mgmt system w/ this and use it as a high level scripting language.

Re:Introducing Waymo Premier, an elevated rider experience on Thursday June 11, 2026 @04:51PM (#48496240)
Since when is talking to someone such a horrible thing for a human being to do
that UI is way too opinionated
Re:Cargo Install Friend on Tuesday May 26, 2026 @02:20PM (#48283664)
why waste the cargo namespace on stuff like this. it's not even very thoughtful.
Where/how can we buy a BYD in the US?
a spec can be wrong until you prove it is right..
That actually hurts a little. I hope you reconsider, music is an art, and allowing a computer to regurgitate previous works over and over and be ok with it is awful.

Art is to be experienced and enjoyed, not just take whatever trash is thrown at you and be ok with it.

Re:Healthchecks.io Now Uses Self-Hosted Object Storage on Friday April 17, 2026 @04:47PM (#47810398)
how do you provide highly available fault tolerant storage?

versity does not include any erasure coding or replication...

Re:The Git Commands I Run Before Reading Any Code on Wednesday April 08, 2026 @08:15PM (#47697796)
I have a strong suspicion this is AI slop. I also think this article draws way too many conclusions from a git log.
Re:12k AI-generated blog posts added in a single commit on Saturday April 04, 2026 @01:51PM (#47641445)
when AI starts training itself accidentally on AI generated content, we all lose...
Re:NanoClaw Adopts OneCLI Agent Vault on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @10:59AM (#47503636)
can someone explain openclaw/nanoclaw use cases to me?

I also do not understand the uses right now. Are we just grasping at usefulness ?

Re:Hello Worg, the Org-Mode Community on Sunday February 22, 2026 @06:29PM (#47116002)
the entire purpose of the website is lost to me. I had to figure it out by reading the comments.
Re:Gitas – A tool for Git account switching on Saturday February 21, 2026 @09:31AM (#47101162)
Feel free to have your own workflow but git already addresses this tools entire purpose with includeIf.

Re:Russia's economy has entered the death zone on Tuesday February 17, 2026 @02:59PM (#47052416)

Re:4x faster network file sync with rclone (vs rsync) (2025) on Tuesday February 03, 2026 @12:35AM (#46866917)
for fun try this 1. tar + nc 2. rsync 3. scp

#1 is the fastest way to send because it keeps the buffers full in a consistent stream which allows tcp windows to grow as large as possible. 2 and 3 ( scp and rsync ) do round trip acks to the remote side which drastically slows things down, even if done in parallel.

Re:Netbird – Open Source Zero Trust Networking on Sunday February 01, 2026 @09:16AM (#46846364)
what is the difference between netbird and tailscale?
this stopped me from go installing it too on nixos. I'm not gonna put the effort in to run it.

There should be a build tag to disable clipboard, that'd be the easiest way around this.

Re:Just the Browser on Friday January 16, 2026 @02:29PM (#46650970)
I dont understand the need for an entire website and shell script installer when all it does is download 1 file and put it somewhere.

For anyone else on firefox, save yourself some effort and just download this https://github.com/corbindavenport/just-the-browser/blob/mai...

it removes stimulation and interaction with the environment and replaces it with sedentary and no physical interactions.

While the exact reasons are not common knowledge, knowing TV is bad for toddlers is.
