Hey guys, on top of having !YC we can also get YC Alums for advices as well? What do you guys think?
Also, I just bought this domain - ycalumsfor.me
Project: I am developing a platform that lets people try
any products before buying them. Its free if they buy one of the products they try on the spot or else they shell out a tiny flat fee for the trial.

I recently wanted to buy a pair of headphones from amazon but found the comments and QA section quite limiting. So I had this idea of building a platform where people can try out any product from it's user if present nearby for a tiny fee. Does it sound plausible or is outright bad?
I have been a vegetarian since 28th october 2012.
I was 16 then. I cut out the meat intake immediately. I happened to one day take a stroll in a part of the town where butcher shops were in plenty and I stood and observed the butchering process out of curiosity. Whatever I saw left me pale and horrified. I came back home and cried a lot. The shrieks and cries of the hen didn't leave my mind. And I decided from that day onwards that I wouldn't kill for my taste buds.
Facebook's login page says "connect and share with friends".
1. The connection part is true, partially. Facebook for me keeps my hold of people I knew or met in the past. But I almost never add new connection via facebook. It is always via, whatsapp or linkedin.
2. The sharing part is done well (for uploaded or created content) but there is a lot of noise from all the pages and ads. So,even when done well, it doesn't encourage me to share much over there given it only reaches to probably only a fraction of my connections.
Very specific and concentrated search and discovery sites eg., producthunt, zomato, yelp, quora (if they execute really well) will out do google as I think, leaving only discovery of these sites (and their content, like for almost every google search I end up going to SO or Quora) and contextual information as a problem for them to address.
Thanks for the feedback. That's the exact reason why i posted the it as askhn. I am apprehensive too, want to know what the community thinks.

I am building a platform for people to share and discover the best attributes and abilities about the people they know with the help of stories (incidents) about them.

If you are a complete beginner in python, I would rather suggest this for python3 - www.openbookproject.net/thinkcs/python/english3e

When it started it was solving a problem but now with whatsapp, slack and twitter, what problem is it solving?
People coming from scroll-through-attend-nirvana kind of platforms like fb, twitter etc are expected to behave that way.
Shouldn't you build a rather very specific landing pages for these click-throughs and then compare their behavior? I personally feel that redirection to very good article on your site would rather have them more interested than sending them to a landing page.
Sure, I am building an app so I wanted to know how willing would people be. The idea is to only verify the registered users against the ID and not store them for later use.
Okay, I didn't know that. Would it be illegal just to verify an user too?
Thanks for your opinion, really appreciate it.

If a social network, any web service or an mobile app asks you to upload a photo(copy) of any of your valid ID, how willing would you be to do it? Please explain why.IDs - National, College, Driving license etc.(Excuse my English, if incorrect)
Thank you for your ASKHN about html5 games, it was really helpful.
Wouldn't not giving an option for less amounts be easier than giving it? If they don't want to pay more then they just don't pay at all.
1. Would you have paid me if it was let's say $20,000, with you having a debt yourself ?
2. This experiment was for people might have seen this and said, "Ha, that's a petty sum, let's help him out". (Validated from the 8-10 connections I made through the experiment)
It was an experiment - essays.eidetia.com/emotionmodel.html
And the title was a clickbait, so...
