Hi there! I'm the Product lead at Arena, building tools for audience engagement for publishers and e-commerce businesses.

We just released "Arena Commerce AI", a tool for e-commerce and publishers to provide personalized recommendations to their catalog to their website visitors. If you're interested in using or have feedback about the product, I'd love to chat! Thanks so much HN! :-)

Ask HN: Is this a good time to work at a startup?

Posted by shry4ns on Thursday June 23, 2022 @04:36PM
from the ask-hn dept.

My non-US citizen friend who works for big tech in SF is contemplating joining a late stage startup in the next month or so (in SF). Given the current macro-economic climate, he's a little hesitant on whether this is a good time to join a startup (Especially with the news of all the layoffs). Would appreciate any advice for him regarding whether it's a good time to join a late stage startup and...

This is more of a tangential comment, but I absolutely love patio11's blog. As someone who is generally interested in fintech and financial services but does not have the time to read deeply into it, this blog is a treasure mine.

Love this thread! I'm a PM at FAANG but I graduated this year with a CS degree and have web dev/ML skills. Would love to collaborate with people looking to build climate tech software (I have a few ideas of my own), but am open to all ideas. Ideally looking for tech co-founders, but would love to chat with anyone interested. My email is in my bio.

Ask HN: Best self-starter resources to learn web design?

Posted by shry4ns on Friday December 03, 2021 @05:36AM
from the ask-hn dept.

Finding it a bit hard to separate the noise from the signal when it comes to learning web design/UI/UX. I'm looking to level up enough to be able to use design tools well + have an intuition for good vs bad design + be able to (hopefully) design well myself. Please assume I'm a complete noob. thanks in advance HN!

Noob question -- what do you mean by harmonization trends in the EU? I couldn't quite understand from a google search or maybe even what exactly to search for.

Ask HN: How do I get started with learning about crypto?

Posted by shry4ns on Wednesday March 31, 2021 @12:53PM
from the ask-hn dept.

I'm a graduating CS major and I've been generally interested in what crypto is, but I think the concepts are a bit obscure and I don't fully understand it.I want to start by learning the fundamentals and then more advanced concepts. I'm not looking to learning programming in crypto -- just looking to learn and read more. Thanks for the help, HN!
