Valid point, I did exactly that before getting on to omarchy on the laptop and cachyos on the pc. Ran my own arch config for about 2 years but got tired of maintaining. Plus wanted a bit more developer centric ready dotfiles and omarchy is doing that really well.

well from thousands of ai written lines of code to some system specific moves that might break tons of installs where people have customized things quite a bit might break, or am i over thinking this?

I understand what you mean and I've tried a few but haven't found something that's out of the box geared to dev the way Omarchy is, hence kept at it. Will keep an eye out in general for alternatives as much as I love Omarchy.
but isn't this open source? where is the capitalist marketing angle coming in with the distro? minus the automatic basecamp setup which is one command uninstall away, no?
you can take the distro and leave the person's views out.

Working on improving our sprint reports jira plugin, am already interviewing TPMs but thought taking some unfiltered advice here would be a good idea too.The key question is: What is one piece of info in your sprint reports that will save you from taking another headache pill every weeK? (or save your fridays from preparing reports manually)
interesting - how have you managed to deal with those? especially the fuzzy brain syndrome?
has it also affected how performance and reporting is perceived by the managers? since moving goalposts and unclear agendas would also mean that it would affect performance in reports and project reviews

Hi, I'm doing some research for a product, primarily around how technical PMs handle their work life.Wanted to understand a few things but the key item is understanding the biggest drag on the time of a PM? What do you find yourself doing more and more that shouldn't take as much time as it does? Also if you have time then these are the other questions:2. What do you find are the consistent...

Since the face is smiling, maybe there can be a bit of leeway for their response times :p
I guess another way to think about lead time in open source might be to gauge the overall project health: more active and engaged community that is. What do you think??
yea totally, in fact I felt these smaller creators have a great aesthetic to their videos - much slower than your usual heavily edited videos :)

have you noticed this as well? recently I have seen a ton of small creators(under 1000 subs) being recommended on my home page like crazy

Interesting read, I noticed the mention of very high cycle times, can an AI manager really speed up spotting issues with the quality a human engineering manager can? Or is the point that this makes the job much easier as opposed to replacing the EMs?
Thinking about causation versus correlation is crucial!
Makes me wonder, how often do people realize this only after making expensive decisions?
Would be interesting to hear stories from people who have experienced this first hand
any specifics on the marketing activities that you know of?
blogs and seo does take time but pr campaigns etc and influencer campaigns can help fastrack that

So I was looking at their go to market, website etc to understand what they did right and what experiments they did to get to where they are at.Would be crazy to hear if you know something about their market entry and getting to the foothold they have
One way that works moderately well is to mark certain topics as not interested when they are presented and like and watch the other topics for a longer time.
I've used the above to keep my YT landing page relatively clear of things I'm not interested in.
Once in a while it will suggest you a highly popular or interesting off topic item, but yea that is once in a while.
Basically what I'm saying is that we need to train their algorithm to our tastes through watching and marking things as not interested, don't show me this channel etc.
an email client that looks nice - apparently quite popular in youtuber land too lol
was thinking of trying thunderbird - have you tried apple mail app or superhuman as well by any chance?
that's a whole different story too - storage is still manageable but taking up huge chunks of RAM means the daily usage can get affected easily.

So, I'm using brave on an m3 mac and having 2 big issues:
1. Brave does not properly use memory saver - I have it set on aggressive and even then tabs like gmail just remain active even if I don't use them in days2. Especially Gmail tab takes upwards of 500MB - in comparison if I run machine learning models on a moderate sized data set Python ends up taking 1-1.5GB - What is so special that...
