Good job pendoers!

Ask HN: Interest in teen trends? Or already exists?

I'm trying to find a place that will tell me what's trending for the youth. For example, teens are leaving Facebook, and going where? What devices do they use? What apps? Is there a good place to find this? If not, would people be interested if I created a blog or newsletter or something about this?

For me there were a lot of factors, but the biggest one was that the large tech company was my first job out of college, and I didn't want to stay there for the next 40 years. So, after 4 or so years, I left to try something different and see what was out there in the big bold world. I don't regret it at all. Perhaps I will end up at a big tech company again someday, but until then, I'm enjoying lots of other experiences (startups, mid size companies, etc).

Durham, NC - Spring Metrics

We're making web Analytics much, much more interesting and useful.

Ruby on Rails dude/dudet, with a healthy serving of HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery and the likes. If you've got back-end skills too, all the better.

We (Spring Metrics) are indeed interested in hiring Ruby devs. http://www.springmetrics.com/jobs.html When does the visa arrive? Can you bribe someone to get it faster? ;-)

My comments on this launch here: http://friendlyrank.com/okstupid.html tl;dr -> I build a version of this a year and a half ago - they looked at it and said they weren't interested in it, then went off and cloned it. I'm not happy.
