Apple isn't successful because they have a crapload of patents, they are successful because they build a great product, a great brand and a great ecosystem. This Apple win helps Apple marginally and hurts the consumer significantly. To be honest, I'm not sure why fanboys even like this - Apple products improve when there is competition, and all innovation is iterative.
They have hugely subsidized tuition, more than anywhere else in Canada.
Ultrabooks are rushing in to fill this need. I just bought one and it has been everything I hoped.
Why are there 2 Infiniti G 35's listed with opposing data? In the first case you get better mileage with premium, the next one shows you get better mileage with regular. This really makes all the data look very suspect.
This appears to be a shameless plug, but it worked on me...
This isn't a problem with Apple (although it reflects on them) this is a problem with a specific store manager.
I'm not an Apple fanboy, in fact my background is very similar to the author's - but overall the Apple store service is superior to any other retail experience I've had.
It's Official: Oranges more easy to peel than Apple.
That was an exceptionally pointless article. The premise being that he liked google+ but now he's bored with life, therefore google+ might kill social networking. No reason stated, no debating, no comparison, just that he can't be bothered to log in. Brilliant.
Once you get the early adopters you hit a tipping point and the rest of the market will follow, this is the way of the technology adoption lifecycle. This poorly written article has it exactly wrong.
All my friends will be on google+...
I like google+ versus FB because:
- I trust google more than FB
- It doesn't exist as a walled garden
Facebook is succeeding because it is simplifying the web for the masses, which is the exact model AOL used in the 90's. It was successful for the masses, but eventually people always follow what the early adopters do. If google accomplishes what they are trying to do, which is provide a way for you to curate web content via your circle of influence WITHOUT having to be behind the FB wall, then it is a better model and people will move. Facebook will have to adapt or go the way of Myspace or AOL.
Obviously there's an exception to every rule, but I'm pretty sure statistics is heavily skewed to the likelihood of surviving an altercation involving a hammer over a gun. Just saying. It's pretty easy to sidestep a hammer.
This has been done a few times legitimately, I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone started emulating a legitimate trend for advertising purposes... In fact I'd say we're about due for it.
The 'this app is awesome' comments, and the prominent FB like / Twitter plugs kind of lend credence to the theory too.
Is this a serious question? If someone has a gun pointed at me all they have to do is pull the trigger and I'm likely dead. If someone is going to kill me with a hammer, steel bar, knife or broken bottle, they have to overpower me and then repeatedly use them on me to have the same effect. From the perspective of someone who killed animals for food, it is SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult both physically and emotionally to kill something with a knife than it is with a gun.
I went to the site, but my spider sense immediately started tingling.
